Tyler Moore walks out of practice...

Also, Moore started at tackle last year because he was better than anyone else last year. So he comes to practice this year and someone has put in work and out performed to get the nod. I will defer to the coaches to see that on the field and put the right people in place. Say what you will about Cotton but his job would be more on the line if he was not putting the best guys at the top of the chart. If he saw something better in someone else for a starter, who are we to argue? How many of us have dissected practice and film so far this summer?

 
There seems to be two rules of thought going on right now. One is Tyler is homesick, misses his girlfriend and wants to be closer to her. The other is he couldn't stand having to fight for the starting position again and quit. If either of those turn out to be true, that's pretty busch league in my opinion. Either way, I appreciate the one year he put in at Nebraska, but personally I'm glad he left.

Maybe it's not in major publications or tweets yet cuz Bo is forcing them not to say anything (remember the media moratorium w Sean Fisher??) in case he can talk to Moore amd get him to come back. If its officially reported, and the collective States sh#t hits the fan, there could be less room for reconciliation.
Btw, some guys quit by walking off the field. Like ripping off a band-aid, they get their courage in a flash and just do it all at once. If he hasn't talked these feelings out w the coaches even as bad a Barney seems to be, it's kinda hard to put a lot of blame on them if he just stormed off. He needs to give more respect to his Univ family and at least inform them.

If it wasn't a case of homesickness and he was just that pissed at Barney, then Barney needs to be evaluated, our line hasn't been that good to excuse these defections and poor play.

Not buying the media portion of your statement. Bo doesn't control the media. Some journalist has to have had some knowledge of this by now. They could have posted something about getting more info or anything. But it has been complete silence. Something isn't right.

Nope. It suggests that Barney is a contributing factor. It doesn't amount to a fact. The point was bigger than that, though. Barney has been consistently singled out by every knowledgable person since basically 2008 for his inability to succeed as a coach at any level. Now, on top of his documented on-field mediocrity, we're dropping players like flies, and not just average ones. Any serious person would at this point have to ask themselves if we have maximized our coaching at this position, or are we settling for less than we should? I'm not answering the question. That's Bo's job. He's the one who will live or die with the results.

 
If its for his gf, it's stupid. The way she posts on FB "he wants to lay for the steelers"...wtf is that? Pure immaturity. Like he'll have any control over that.

I ran into Kenny bell in the airport and he was on how way to visit his gf....in Florida. I joked "good luck w a long distance relationship.." he laughed pretty hard and gave a knowing nod that it is tough, but there's no way he could pass up playing for Nebraska. Much more mature response and attitude.

While what you say is right you have to be careful. Any and all student athletes have their privacy rights in those circumstances where drug tests are failed.

Like 99% of posts in this thread, I was speculating :)

Just saying that this appears to be true, why else wouldn't media say something? Bo was pissed off when fisher wasn't given privacy

Once we get the whole story than you can say F him if you want, based on what is said. But not knowing the situation I would maybe hold back on saying stuff like that. He's young and might have made the hardest decision of his life.
