All valid points. We can sort of have our cake and eat it as well by contacting him for something if the need arises. If all goes well that way, we can revisit the issue. We'll certainly have more info then on which to judge.

Is there some way that knapp could have access to this forum, but not be a mod? He has a lot of invaluable wisdom that could come in handy, but that would be annoying to constantly PM. Also, could we maybe pin that thread? I know that sub-forum doesn't fill up as fast as the Husker Football sub-forum, but there's a lot of people who don't check in in the summer who may wonder about knapp come fall.

I'm all for this idea. I think he'd have valuable input in our discussions if he chose to offer his opinion. And he'd be free to participate as little or as much as he'd like.

I actually assumed even with his resignation he would still be here in the leadership forums. Though, it's understandable why that's not the case. So, I agree with AR. Things being where they stand, let's hopefully revisit this at a later date.

I'm not in to that idea to be honest with you. I might be in the minority, but he chose to step away from the position, which means he chose to step away from this part of the board. There are plenty of others around here you can bounce ideas off of but I guess I'm also seeing that he's now an admin over at that other board. So to me, I'm calling B.S. on the he's growing tired of the mod responsibilities stuff. I'm not trying to offend anyone either, I'm just putting that out there. I feel my job as a mod is to protect huskerboard.com interests and don't really see why we would allow a regular member to have access to our discussions about the board or ideas for the board going forward. JMO...........

I don't wanna come off as brash since I'm the new guy, but I kinda agree with this. Knapp joined the other board the day after it was created, and has the second most posts there next to the head honcho himself. That's an awfully odd coincidence.

I'm a bit surprised to learn that Knapp is a Mod at PoloBoard. I signed up for an account a couple days ago, and saw that he has been posting there a bit and has a title of "Bona Fide". Oh well. I'll be sort of surprised if they make a go of it. Right now their board seems to be fueled more by hatred for all that is HB, than Husker camaraderie. Not sure what PoloBoard will have going for it once that hatred wanes. Don't think I'll lose any sleep over it.

Sad isn't the word to describe it really. Shocked? Yeah, I'm a little shocked because to me, that states that there's still a little bit of bad blood in the water and that this issue is far from resolved.

When I saw that knapp has resigned, I reached out to him over email and thanked him for his time here. He conveyed to make sure I knew that there are no hard feelings, and wanted to pass on that he'll always act honorably towards HB. I think it's accurate to say he was burned out here -- not necessarily bad blood -- and just wanted a new start.

As strong as his issues were with Polo here, it is a little surprising. But he always got along with Polo well, moderator issues aside. As I think many of us did.

It's really ok guys....lets not get so caught up in this we lose sight of all our purposes. Help that Husker fan in Texas surrounded by *gag* burnt orange and white, or one of our brothers in Eastern Iowa choking on black and gold, or friends in Central Ohio having to listen to the latest Buckeye bulletin on how great Urban is.

I can do that as well; all I was suggesting was that another voice, especially one has unique and strong as knapp's might be useful in some unforeseen instance.
