WALK-ONS THREAD

Clicked on Zach Larson's name and it said, per rivals, that he is a Youngstown St. commit. We lose him?
Yes, he changed his mind. Makes sense though, why pay out-of-state tuition versus accepting a scholarship right in his own hometown?

BTW, Andy Gdowski is the newest Husker walk-on as of tonight. I updated the list in the first post.

I just watched Walk Ons-Huskers' Edge on the DVR tonight. I am so proud of these guys and the sacrifice and effort they put forth. One quote that resonates is that they are the glue of the program. GO BIG RED!!!

Mark Pelini is a big boy...Just thought it was weird, because Bo and Carl aren't that big. He is a nephew though. Anyways this is my favorite part of recruiting. Lots of potential and it is fun to speculate.

Anyone know anything about Hughes? Don't see many walk-ons from out of state, and almost none from outside the midwest. Does he have any family ties to Nebraska? related to Tyrone?

Keegan Hughes6-1, 175, WR, Roswell, Ga. (Roswell HS)

Keegan Hughes will join the Husker program from Roswell (Ga.) High School.

A standout at the wide receiver position, Hughes helped Roswell to a 10-1

record and a berth in the playoffs in Georgia’s largest football class. Hughes

caught 25 passes for 750 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior and has total

75 receptions for more than 2,000 yards and 15 touchdowns over the past

three seasons. Hughes earned first-team All-North Fulton County as a junior

and senior. He also started at safety as a freshman. Hughes is also a standout

on his high school’s baseball team, starting since his freshman season.

Hughes, who was coached by Leo Barker, is one of three wide receivers who

are walking on at NU in this year’s class. Hughes turned down a scholarship

offer from the Air Force Academy.

Per big red wrap up Keegan used to date Jamrog's niece for like 2 years. Not sure he still is or not, sounded like it was past tense, but I guess that's how he is linked and it came about.

I almost pissed my pants laughing when I was on Huskers.com and saw this kids stats

height

Austin Williams DB 5"2 190 Omaha, Neb. (Burke HS)

I was at first like how in the hell did he even get asked to walk on but after looking at his profile I see it was a type O and he is 6"2.

All I could do was picture cartman from southpark at the stats they had on him.
