I hope this rumor has some smoke behind it.  I've always thought Del Conte would be a pipe dream for us, but I think this would be just what the doctor ordered for the Huskers.

I have only heard it from the individual I referenced in my previous post, someone who works in the University of Nebraska system.

I am curious to know if there has been any similar talk/suggestions about Del Conte in the last 24-48 hours, that's why I posted the topic.

Patterson, but doubt he would come.  Winning at the power 5 level,  Texas recruiting, and been doing it for a few years.  Patterson may or may not be a better coach, but far more prepared than Frost.

Nebraska: There is chatter circulating that Nebraska has been kicking the tires on TCU AD Chris Del Conte. However, sources tell FootballScoop Del Conte is not expected to leave Fort Worth for Lincoln. We have been hearing of multiple sitting athletic directors, including in the SEC, who have signaled their interest in the position. Ole Miss AD Ross Bjork has publicly stated he is not a candidate. Will update as more is clear.

 
So, I know nothing about any ADs. Why is this guy so good? People have been mentioning him since the beginning. Does he have some connection here or something?
