What are you reading right now?

I am reading all the old Batman Graphic Novels....

I know....im 12...
those are the best. which ones?
I stocked up on some of the classics that i havent read forever (or ever)...The Killing Joke, Year One, The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, and Knightfall...Any others that I missing that you recommend?....I am a bigger fan of the Batman GNs that do not involve Superman/Lex Luthor/etc.....
'the dark knight returns' is another classic, but i believe superman does make an appearance. (i agree though, boo superman). 'arkham asylum' is another good one. so is 'joker'. i've pretty much just used this list.

edit: also, the just made 'year one' into an animated film. pretty awesome if you are into that kind of thing. (which i am). (bryan cranston is the voice of gordon). (but the animated series will always be the best of all, especially 'mask of the phantasm').
Any other Graphic Novels that you have read?....There are a lot of them that I would like to pick up, but i dont want to pick some of them up and they turn out terrible....i heard Watchmen, X Men, and V for Vendetta are real good.....
i am solely a batman man. i would like to venture out, i think the 'sin city' series looks pretty good. it is hard to take a risk because they are pretty expensive. let me know if you venture out from the dark knight.

A lady in the office down the hall is trying to convince me to read 50 Shades of Gray. I know it's the latest housewife craze, but have any men actually read this book? Is it worth a read?
i saw a guy buy it at the barnes and noble in sioux falls. he grabbed it quickly in an attempt at discretion, which only drew attention to him. by the time i figured out what actually happened, he was gone. probably for a gf or wife, but to each his own.

Ok...taking a break from politics.

This is the time of year that I am looking for some good books to read til the weather is nice again.

Any suggestions?

I am looking for something non fiction and also non political. Maybe something motivational.

I'm moving this to the Lounge since it's not political in nature.

I would recommend The Book Thief. It's set just before and during the early stages of WWII, in Germany, and the narrator is Death. It is a wonderful book, and I highly recommend it.

Or from his early work, "Soul of a New Machine." Or really, just about anything else by Tracy Kidder.

/edit: This post is from a different thread that got merged. I think I mentioned Tracy Kidder in a post above.

I knew there were others, I just couldn't find them in a ten-second search. Thanks for the assist. Merged them all into one big repository of books discussions.

No problem boss man.

I started reading "If on a winter's night a traveler" and then I kinda got distracted. It's weird. The only reason I'm reading it is to prepare myself for "Cloud Atlas" which was supposedly inspired by "If on a winter's night a traveler."
