What did we learn? -Game 2- Troy

Here's what I learned at the game today:

1.  small 4x6 inch binocular cases are a major security threat and will be confiscated.

2.  Troy was faster that we were.

3.  Our receivers couldn't get open.

4.  We whiffed on blocks all day long.

5.  Blackshirts played aggressive, but coaches didn't always have them in the best position and Troy exploited that very well.

6.  We did a poor job recognizing blitzes.

7.  We need way more speed on offense.

I was going to ask people that went to the game their thoughts on how the receivers played.  TV doesn't give a good view.  Frost is recruiting a lot of fast (track guys) receivers and it seemed like a major component of UCF's offense.  I think our receivers are generally good but not sure if they quite have the speed needed.

What you might learn is that the Big 10 might be overrated this year, and there might be more winnable games on that schedule than once was thought of ..........maybe???

Watching TCU go toe to toe with the Buckeyes right now, almost half-time, and that TCU team is running alot of tempo and making the Buckeyes earn everything.  Thats what this program we become in time.

I learned our OL didn’t squat enough to beat Troy at the LOS.
Over the past 4 years, no they did not do enough and one off-season wouldn't fix that.  They've been backpedaling into pass protection the past 3 year so run blocking is a new thing for them.  I was very surprised that they seemed to get a decent push against CU.  After today I question how good the Buffs DL is.

Relax.  I’m drunk and trying to find comedy in the pain of the loss.

I was going to mention that TCU is answering the question about whether Frost's offense would work in the B1G.  TCU players look small and fast.  Buckeyes look bigger and fast.
