What did we learn? Maryland edition

We learned that we can play football in the first three quarters when we want to.

And that we give up a lot more sacks when we don't have Tommy's legs to keep from getting sacked.

Great way for the seniors to go out - undefeated at home.

Bruce Reed is the gift that keeps on giving.

Maryland is horrible.

When we call intelligent pass plays, even our backup can complete passes.

Newby would be a best for an outside zone team.

We learned that Fyfe can't win against a good team. Our chances of winning at Iowa are very slim if Tommy does not play. Our special teams can't do anything special against any team regardless of whether it is a good team or bad. Maryland was out scored 121 to 6 over the past two games. We should have scored at least 42 on this team.

However, before I anger the masses on this blog and get called all sorts of nasty names. I am happy we won and hope we beat Iowa regardless of whether Wisconsin wins or loses to Minnesota. A 10-2 record is a huge improvement over last year and is a step in the right direction.

Still can't close a game out.

Fyfe did his job today and with a run heavy game plan he can be effective.

We are going to miss Westy.

We are going to miss Cethan Carter more.

A win is a win and we're one step closer to a double digit win regular season.
