What did we learn? - Oklahoma

Four posts, wow. We might all be finally out of superlatives.

I guess I wasn't expecting a win, but I wasn't expecting to look so completely overwhelmed and overmatched.

This is going to be painful.

I learned that I’m conflicted as to how long this rebuild will really take. Both our lines are embarrassingly bad and I feel like both require at least a couple years of better talent and maturation to get right, particularly the o line

I just can't get my head around how this program, built on a foundation of a dominant offensive line, has so completely and utterly neglected this most important position for so long now.

-I learned that our fan base has unrealistic expectations, myself included. I didn’t think we would win but I was hopeful that we would play more competitively than we did.

-I learned that Mickey Joseph is a quality individual.  He may not be ready to be a head coach but he has the makings of one. It was refreshing to hear him take responsibility for the loss instead of offering excuses or throwing the players under the bus.
-I learned that for many winning at any cost is the only thing that matters. That makes me very sad because having a quality football team is what set Nebraska apart from the others.
-On the bright side we can only go up from here. I hope Trev takes a very long time to pick the next coach.
-I love this team. It grieves my heart to see how far we’ve fallen.  :(

I learned that I can watch the Huskers get their asses kicked and not get mad about it...that is the state I am at right now. Just assume it is going to happen and just watch. Also, learned (well, reminded) that Benhart is THE worst lineman we have ever had. I cannot believe they continue to roll him out there.
