What did we learn

I thought the coverage was good on the main one I remember. I remember him throwing his hands in the air and watching the reply and it didn’t look like PI. Add to that that on that play I did not see any official make the uncatchable signal, and the one nearest the play did not throw a flag. Let’s not give them TDs they didn’t earn.
I thought our guy mauled him.

I'm going to defend the staff one more time for the 2nd half play calling. And I definitely have no problems calling out our staff - I probably did it way too much last year, actually.

I really think Satterfield struck a good balance in the 2nd half of burning clock and not throwing downfield a bunch. The last thing you want is for the clock to stop because you went with lower percentage throws downfield and then a high octane spread offense from the other team starts scoring quickly and they're back in the game.

CU sold out to stop the run. We tried some plays to get the ball out into the flat and work around the blitz. Those were smart play calls because they're high percentage throws inbounds. The clock keeps running, and you're trying to punish their blitz.

Their defense just did a pretty good job of stopping some of it.

I think we need to get Lloyd, Barney, and Rahmir more involved in the passing game to open it up a bit. But we need to see a couple conference games first to see how we fair against some better defenses first to know for sure.

Agree. While the lack of points was disappointing, the game was sealed by timely first downs that maintained possession. As fans we were probably puckered up waiting for the familiar fumble, interception, or busted coverage that would snowball into a nailbiter or loss, but apparently the players and coaches didn't feel that way, and that's a huge step in a turnaround.

Some nice calls to get Barney involved, and if any of the big plays didn't get called back there would be less fretting on HB. As it stands I can't believe Husker fans would not have pre-purchased a 28-10 zero turnover win over Colorado in which Dante Dowdell breaks the arm of one Sanders, while the other Sanders takes a humiliated walk off the field dragging a 24.4 QB rating.

+1, great summary!

Little worried about the receivers’ ability to get open and create sauce against equal level athleticism. Seemed to look really good last week, couldn’t find them this week. The next two weeks should have them looking better again. Hope by the next time an athletic team rolls in we will be in more of a rhythm there.

This is the last thing I'll say about Sanders. Some of you guys wanted to bring the Coach Prime circus to Lincoln. I'd rather have Flavor Flav as coach because at least he's honest about being a comedy act. Two-way player Hunter is the real thing...maybe a top 5 NFL draft pick,..... the Daddy's boys have been exposed as guys who are more important than the team. I'm glad I don't have to watch that any more. I'm super glad that we got Coach Rhule.

Colorado has two pretty good corners.

Did not know it was that bad.  That is a testament to the D and what pressure can do with a vey good QB and receiver group.  Awesome job.

Did Nash get injured or sat out the 2nd half?  Didn't remember seeing him. Just Ty.

Time to check the receipts.

That most of you are still no good miscreant reprobates...

That there's something there, we all saw glimpses of it in the first half, but I think they could be a lot better.

DR is a cool customer, but he needs to not emulate Mahomes, but find his own thing.  He made a couple decisions that were worrisome, but that can be coached.

It was nice to see the barn that loud again.
