The battles we go through life
This line drives me crazy 'cause WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
The battles. We go through. LIFE!
The battles we go. Through life!
The battles we. Go through Life??
What?
I think it's: the battles we go through in life, as in "during the battles that we endure during our lifetime, we ask that you give us a fair chance at succeeding"
Then put the damn "in" there. But then we have:
Dear lord
The battles we go through in life
We ask for a chance that's fair
It should be "In the battles we go through in life"
I know it's supposed to be chanty but it bothers me, damn it. It's not that hard to say that line fast with proper grammar *shakefist*
