What is the future of the Republican Party?

It's not weird. But you know that.

Marjorie Taylor Greene defeating 5 other Republicans based on what she's shown the voters of Georgia certainly qualifies for this thread.

Do you honestly think Madison Cawthorne self-sabotaging himself out of contention to make room for another Trump loyalist suggests a saner future for the Republican Party?
It’s weird, which you know.  Being invested in the narrative,   I understand why you can’t say so though.

Ya. People say that. Until they take the money away.

Pssst. You live in a Republican controlled state that rejected Obamacare. Should be no problem to reject those farm subsidies and their fetid stench of socialism
Most do and why wouldn’t you.  It’s being given out.   It’s in the same vein as those rich California folk who tell us all to pay more taxes but don’t volunteer to pay more while waiting on a new tax bill to pass.

My state has healthcare exchanges btw.   You prob weren’t aware.

I asked you a direct question, pretty much the only relevant question for this thread, and definitely not weird:

"Do you honestly think Madison Cawthorne self-sabotaging himself out of contention to make room for another Trump loyalist suggests a saner future for the Republican Party?"

Tim Huelskamp

Chairman of the House Tea Party Caucus? Ranked the least bipartisan member of the entire House? Kicked off the Ag Committee by fellow Republicans, and opposed by the Kansas Farm Bureau, the Kansas Livestock Association, the National Association of Wheat Growers, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, defeated 58% to 42% in his last Republican primary?

THAT Tim Huelskamp?

You must be so proud.

Well I asked for an example and you gave it.

While I applaud your ideological consistency, it appears that a clear majority of Kansas Republicans aren't about to reject federal subsidies that go in their pocket.

Did you gloss over the other direct question you asked in this thread?

cawthorn wasn’t the future of the party.  It will be just fine.  But I’m glad he’s out.  We will see what the next person is like.

Did someone honestly single out one candidate as the future of the Republican Party?  Wasn't me. That would be stupid. But you know that.

btw....the "next person" is already here. It's MTG, Ted Budd, Bo Hines, Herschal Walker, JD Vance, Max Miller, Alex Moony, and the bone-chilling Doug Mastriano among others.

The Republicans who defeated the Trump-endorsed candidates often lean into some crazy conspiratorial extremism of their own.

I keep hearing about sensible conservatives who want to take the party back, but all I'm seeing are apologists and enablers like you.

We're beyond doomed.

Let's hope Republicans launch their secession movement so their historical and international embarrassment can be confined to whatever country they decide to form.

A well spoken guy.
:sarcasm

I think he took too many hits on the head during his football years.  This is what a Trump endorsement buys

for America.
