What is the future of the Republican Party?

Nah, it's not the party of Trump.

This is one thing I do not understand.  Why are these Republican's so afraid of Trump??????  I mean are you serious?????  The nutty followers.  Yes.  I could see that sect being scary to them.  Like the day after Lyndsay basically denounced Trump on the senate floor only to be mobbed the very next day at the airport by those complete Trump weirdos.  Then wouldn't you know it...the day after that Lyndsay is suddenly all aboard the Trump train again...

I can't imagine why people would want to talk to him about that given that his entire personal, professional and financial success is based off of his football career, and that he uses it to his gain whenever he thinks it's advantageous.

*sarcasm*

Focusing on football might be fortuitous to his political career. I doubt he wants to focus on his multiple personality disorder, accusations of threats against "his ex-wife’s life, exaggerated claims of financial success and alarmed business associates with unpredictable behavior."

Why are some people who refuse to recognize race/color so desperate to insist on man/woman?

Shouldn't she celebrate that we are treating all as equals through the elimination of divisive language?
That lady needs to leave Congress IMO but using man/woman is now divisive language??.

Agree that His football career is his biggest name recognition asset and he would be wise to take advantage of that if he wants to win.

The most powerful wing of the Republican Party openly demanding nothing short of a fascist government takeover in America.  I said it before but I'm sure it was blown off here as just more hyperbole but the future of the Republican Party, and as such America, is fascism.  Wrap your head around that.  The beacon of democratic light in the world is about to be extinguished.  We're all going to paupers within this generation as the oligarchs and kleptocrats steal everything from our society.  Maybe that's why the MAGAts left.  Their work is done here.  Well done.

He's probably one of the most overrated Heisman trophy winners of all time.  He was 55th in yards per carry in 1982.  Dude had no wiggle.  Just straight ahead speed.  Rozier, Dickerson, and Dupree all averaged 7.0 yards per carry or more that year.

The guy needs to lose bad.
Unless a miracle happens, he'll win. This despite not talking about policy, lying to his constituency and having enormous baggage from his personal life. None of that matters.

The future of the Republican Party is that they don't have too say or do anything special, they can be terrible candidates without substance or policy, and they're going to win. The current trajectory is that Republicans are going to control a filibuster proof Trifecta in 2024, and you can make that assumption without knowing the candidates.

In one particularly fiery speech, Gavin Wax, president of the New York Young Republicans' Club, declared that America First conservatives "demand nothing short of an American Orbánism," under which they "will establish a form of conservatism that sees the media as the enemy and actually conserves that we hold near and dear. Our national renewal will be preceded by a historic rebuke of not just the soulless Marxist elites of the left, but also the greedy, bloodthirsty neoconservatives and neoliberals of the right. They will be exposed, demonized and crushed beneath the waves of a rising tide of populism."

Yep, textbook fascism there.
