When should we take down the Announcements

Sales on Mr. Koch's book are off and running, and have been for some time now. The threads we have as Announcements are no longer hot topics.

1) How long should we keep Koch's book as an Announcement? Take it down now? Leave it up through the Christmas season?

2) Any suggestions on which threads should replace the discussion threads?

 
Wouldn't hurt to leave the book up there, I suppose.

No ideas currently on a replacement discussion thread. I'm OK with anything you find worthwhile. Generally we can have a thread here to suggest features, but right now it seems like not much competition anyway. Maybe BBXII will post another one of his statistical analysis threads.

I like the idea of leaving the book announcement up through Christmas. Helpful to members who want to link to it quickly for their wish lists to family and friends.

 
I got a big kick out of that acknowledgement. I didn't do anything. He's a really good guy, and generous in his gratitude.
