When was the last time there was an on field celebration at Memorial Stadium?? I remember looking in an old Husker picture book that showed one (with goal posts being torn down). If I remember correctly it was CU. Any chance that we will ever have one again?? With the reloaction of the students in the south endzone, it would be tough for them to get onto the field without hurting ppl. I remember a few years back where I think Wisconsin's student body stormed the field hurting and I think killing some. Anyways what are your guy's thought on the subject, and would you storm the field if we beat OU this year??

Considering no one is really supposed to be on the field unless they have permission, I doubt that will happen.

 
There's nothing on the schedule that comes close to that level of celebration for a win. The rules state that unauthorized persons cannot go onto the field... and us Husker fans well, we tend to follow the rules... so nope, unless at some point we're competing for a NC and are losing to another NC contender, late in the season.. and come back and win in dramatic fashion, there's no way we storm the field... and even then, I doubt it.

 
I've always considered rushing the field to be kind of bush-league, to be honest. Sort of like a ballcarrier dancing in the endzone. Act like you've been there before, for cryin' out loud! Rushing the field always makes me thing that people didn't really believe the team would win - or worse, didn't expect to win.

I think what sets Nebraska apart is the fact that we don't make it a habit of doing this. Don't those jokers in Ames do that every time they win a game? :blink:
