When will our consecutive sellout record end?

A friend of mine predicted that if we did not make a bowl game this year and if Pedersen and Callahan were still in place, the sellout record could end as early as next year. Do you think this is possible? There is a huge groundswell of disgust with the NU football administration, and a huge amount of frustration from the fact that both the AD and the head coach were given long contract extensions before actually doing anything worthy of them. I'd say it's at least a possibility. I'll still buy tickets, but I couldn't blame someone for holding off- it's a lot of money to watch NU lose to every decent team that comes to town.

I honestly cannot see a scenerio where our sellout record would end. Even with NU football in its current state and some fans calling for a boycott of attendance, it will not happen. Most fans are upset, mad, disgusted and looking for a way to vent, but...they still love and support their team as a whole. Even if attendance began to fall off, I am sure the boosters or university would continue to buy up the tickets to keep the record alive.
