Where are we Bowling?

Figured we could talk about this until it's announced. Callahan thinks it will be one of the following:

Music City - Nashville 12/30
ReliaQuest - Tampa 12/31
Duke's Mayo - Charlotte 1/3

Also, a couple things mentioned by HuskerOnline that I didn't know about since Nebraska doesn't like going to Bowls:

Commits who start in January can participate in bowl practices. Maybe they could help with scout team? But even just watching will help them. We have 14 coming early.
Bowl games don't count against the 4 freshman games.

Also, someone named "Mike Hawk" did a paid comment during their video, followed by "Mike Hunt," followed by "Jack Meehoff."

Yeah, but what about Minnesota, USC, Washington, Michigan and Michigan State?

They don't go strickly by conference standings but we'd have the same record - or better - as all of those.  Considering Michigan is likely to lose to Ohio State, Washington is likely to lose to Oregon, and USC likely to lose to Notre Dame, Minnesota is the only one that would have as good of a record as us (if they beat Wisconsin), and the conference will almost assuredly send Nebraska to the more high-profile bowl.

Makes sense. I won’t count my chickens before they hatch on those likely wins. College football is insane this year and I love it. A New Year’s Eve would be hilarious for us and amazing, and I would love every minute of it.

Charlotte would be awesome.  Stadium smack in the middle of downtown, tons of night life in walking distance, only a 2.5 hour drive for me.   :D
We will be in Asheville for Christmas- maybe I extend the stay at our son’ place.  Probably not don’t want to overstay our welcome.

Bowls also look at the fanbase.

Michigan and Washington probably won't travel well this year due to disappointing seasons.  USC and Mich St aren't known for their traveling fans.

Minnesota does travel well for warm weather bowl games.  No one wants to be up there during later December/early January.

Sounds like Detroit, but it's only a 40 minute drive for me!  :D

Except I ain't standing outside in the cold to tailgate in December.

Bowls do.  But the B1G has much more say than that bowls do now-a-days.  That said, Nebraska is still likely to be seen in a more favorable light than most of the other teams we're in contention with.  The B1G wants the most viewers for the "bigger" games.
