This isn't even close to me. When I was younger, I asked the same question, but as I got older, I realized how ridiculous it looks and sounds. More edgy the N Huskers is, but tradition and simplicity is the correct N.

The N husker ain't right. If you ask me, keep it as simple as possible -- like Penn State. No name on the Jersey. Nothing on the helmet. It reminds me of when boxers would walk into the ring with all of their flashy robes and gimmicks, and Tyson would come in with his black trunks and towel with a hole cut in it -- and then he would beat their arse!

Actually I didn't add the visor. It's a concept helmet that I found at this site.

Also, in response to your "I wonder if...", maybe that special helmet could be used on the 40th anniversary? You know, kinda like the throwbacks for the ULL game

the athletic department doesn't even use the N with the script Huskers on it anymore. druski_245's avatar is the preferred logo now.
