You're a young pup here, so let me tl;dr it for you.

It's not that they want them to fail at recruiting. It's that we haven't been good enough at it in twenty-something years. For those of us who follow recruiting, we've had the rug pulled out from under us year after year. I've been doing it since '05 when I started at BRR @ scout. Until NU starts actually landing these top tier guys, I don't expect it.
