Don't forget that Bo was his DC for a while.

Man I am with you on Bielema, although I really don't like the guy. The only reason I would want him is because of his style of play and that he has B1G connections and he did very very well in the B1G.At this moment I would say Scott Frost or Les Miles are the best two possible options. Not completely crazy about him but I guess Bret Bielema wouldn't be bad if the other two said no. I think Bieleme would be a good fit schematically and has had success in the B1G.
I love D-Mas...I think he is a better coach than Franklin but sadly not the recruiter Franklin is.Football Guy Bob said:Derek Mason from Vandy.
Fleck and Brohm won't come here. B1G coaches do not leave B1G schools to take over at other schools in conference. You guys are nuts.
It is frowned upon but not against any league rule. Plus, the one who hates it is the Comish and there is a good chance he is retiring very soon. It seems like, just from the past, that it was a much bigger deal in basketball or at least it was talked about more in basketball.Fleck and Brohm won't come here. Louisville.Do some of you really thing Brohm would leave Purdue after 1 year? Isn't he alumni?

Also being a sec coach does he help keep some of the recruits we may be getting in the next few years?I wouldn't be against Dan Mullen as well. Probably Frost, Miles, Mullen and then possibly Bielema. Need to keep watching more of Durkin at Maryland to provide much of a opinion.
Yes Bielema would be a tough pill to swallow as your head coach. God Wisconsin fans would be unbearable if he were here.

If that's the best we can do, then I'd prefer to stick with Riley to see what he can do or until better HC options are available. If we're firing Riley and getting a new HC, then whoever it is must have a lot more potential than Mullen - he's basically Riley from a few years back as others have pointed out.BartonHusker said:We aren't going to find many coaches better than Mullen.

It's not amazing, it's a farce. ZERO chance Riley was the first call.
