Why do North Koreans hate us?

Are Americans more prone to forgetfulness than anyone else? Why the fingerwagging at us when this is simple human nature? Did Europe forget the horrors of World War I in the twenty years between the wars? Even if they didn't, they repeated the mistake two decades later.
This is definitely simple human nature. The thesis of this article is not "Americans are worse than ____", and I'm puzzled why it's being taken that way. I see this more as "We are Americans. Here's a deficiency. We can do something about it."

Threads like this make me shake my head. Why do N. Koreans hate us? You can also insert literally any other country and get the same question.

Half to two-thirds of the world hates America because we are, collectively, the most: corrupt, war-mongering, greedy, self-righteous, gluttonous, wasteful, and imperialistic country that has ever existed.

From an imperialism stand-point, there are only a few countries in existence today that can rival America: Britain, Spain, and France come to mind.

Our government has deposed democratically elected leaders from other countries, we've installed, and supported, brutal dictators/despots, etc.

Why do the people of _____ country hate America and Americans?

I find it weird how oversensitive people get when less than savory truths are pointed out about the U.S. People like to pretend that everyone else is the bas guy and nothing the U.S. ever did could have possibly caused any of the problems.
