Why I Would Keep Frost For 2022

Trev and the University should make it public sooner than later regardless of which way it goes.  Waiting until the end of the season does no one any good.  Too much speculation is not good either way no matter which side your on.

You do realize there is 14 teams in the big10. Only 3 teams recruit better than Nebraska. We out recruit everyone else. Typically we play 3 non-con games and 2 of them are powder puff teams. Explain to me how we don’t have better talent than 9-10 of our opponents? We play 12 games this year- Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio state out recruit us. 12-3=9. We don’t always play 2 of the 3 big10 East powers every year and normally don’t have our non con game as talented as Oklahoma. So I bet most years we outrecruit 10-11 of our opponents. Next year is 10

So Frost has failed to recruit talented enough players or even instill some mental toughness but if the University gives him on more year he might do what he has failed to do in 4 years?

No one in the national media is going to judge the AD to harshly if he fires a coach that after 4 years is one of the worst coaches the University has ever seen.

Haha he’s gonna get stuck with grad assistants looking to get promoted. It’s not going to happen. He had his chances to make changes. Like Callahan he hitched his wagon to his assistants he brought here. That and sticking with AM and not developing another QB. That’ll be his downfall.

So 6 wins is what your bar is for next year if he comes back for a 5th year? In what possible way is that improvement? All he would have to do is beat NW, North Dakota, Georgia Southern, Rutgers, Indiana and 1more team in the B1G West. Is that actually improvement? That is literally what he has done years 1-4. We would be the prettiest turd in the bowl but still a total turd.

Pretty darn low standard for a 5th year coach with all of the resources provided to him.  Are we now that pathetic in our expectations. We don't and never expected it to be the 2nd coming of Vince Lombardi  but it is ridiculous to what we will now expect as acceptable.

Bo and his "horrible staff" and "horrible recruiting" and "horrible play calling" and "horrible run defense" did it, each year.

NU is set up to win 9 games each year with just decent coaching.

And do any of us believe that will happen under this staff? Frost has had 4 years to get to a bowl game. A bowl game. Not a double digit win total, not finishing in the top 2 of the West. Hell not even beating Wisconsin and Iowa. Literally just getting to 6 wins. Show some level of improvement in the W/L column in 4 years. Those of us who are saying it is time to move on lowered our bar to 6 wins. I would not have said that for Riley, for Pelini or for Callahan. With all of our resources etc we have no reason to not get to 6 wins by year 4.

Possibly could have last year but we will never know. Had Central Michigan and South Dakota St on the schedule. Were't supposed to  open @ Ohio St either

We probably would have turned it down anyway. Didn't we still get offered a chance but we said not thanks cause the kids chose not to?
