Why Nebraska will never return to glory

May be the reason why we will not return to glory is because fans blame adidas instead of admitting that our ADs continue to choose the wrong coaches for the job. Or just may be because we fired two 9-win coaches? Just spitballing.
Maybe it is a sign we stick with the old instead of adapting to the new. Adidas is a sign of old, Nike is always adapting, adidas does the same old boring s#!t. We have had head coaches that were fine, but there are always holes in the quality of assistants. They hire friends instead of the best out there. FWIW People would laugh at you if you wore adidas gear with Jordan’s or Dunks outside of the middle of the country. Whole different world where the best recruits live.

It’s funny that the adults here are arguing brands from their perspective but that really matters to the younger generation. Nike and Jordan have lifestyle and tech lines that are literally the in style. Adidas has no clout no innovation of culture it’s literally a sportswear company. And don’t forget high schools and 7 on 7 teams start the brand recruiting early so some of these kids are lost before we even get a chance.

Funny that the best 7v7 program in the country is sponsored by Adidas.

Never said that was the most determining factor. You remember the time lebron was an adidas kid all the way until he took less money to sign with Nike as a rookie? And took 25 million less to sign with Nike over Reebok. The simple fact is Nike means more in the social circles of young people compared to other brands by a mile.

Yeah disregard the 2 years he was a full time starter that put him in the NFL. He was also a walk-on so Kirby didn’t have to do s#!t to get him
At the time when he was starting the season before winning a championship his first senior year those stats would be all Smart had to go on. You are saying stats at that level should tell a coach he will never be good.

can yall stop making dumb posts and instead start making good posts

Jeff Sims had a much larger sample.. Kirby didn’t choose Stetson, Stetson chose Georgia and found his way to the top over some top QB prospects due to development. Sims has had years of turnovers and starts and we still CHOSE him. These aren’t even comparable situations just an example of how many better QBs there are out there.
