Why scrap it all???????

There is a big potential for some type of spread/ great ground game even the west coast offense.......with the right kind of coach..........and minimal recruit loss.........a big bounce back could happen.........am I being delusional .....??????? I mean there is alot of potential here even for next year.........Get this funk off this team........get someone in here who could light a fire.....anything could happen........

i would have to agree....i am not sure you can go completely in the opposite direction of this offense but i think it needs to be more imaginative....why not mix in more spread looks and run an option off it or something....missouri does it all the time....do we have a QB coming in that is atheletic enough to run?

First off, you need a QB. Then you need receivers that don't drop the ball if it is thrown at you much less in your general direction. I think we have neither. I don't see much difference from any other Nebraska team over the years.

Ya we have this guy..............I think his name is Joe Ganz

We already have two. Zac Lee and Ganz is functionally mobile. I think Gabbert has some wheels as well.

If were throwing around the names of guys who have never seen any meaningful playing time, I'd throw Lee ahead of Ganz.

^Zac Lee sprang to mind for me as well.

I think if I were a defensive coordinator, the spread would be the kind of offense that would make me curl up into the fetal position and suck my thumb . . . every time I watch West Virginia or Mizzou, I'm always all, "AHH WHERE'S THE BALL GOIN NOW?!?! ZOMG!!"

I'd like to see a spread here, I think it would work with a lot of the athletes we already have and later in the game, we can transition it into more of a power-I based set and just wear that front seven into the ground.

Ya it isn't like Ganz has'nt sacrified enough or practiced long enough in our system lets go with a juco transfer :thumbs

You're right. Get the right coaching staff in here and it won't matter if you run the WCO or Spread, these kids are able to fit into both systems. If it's WCO it needs to be the watered down kind like at USC and Auburn. :)

So seniority over ability? Sorry, I don't really see why everyone has a hard on for Ganz.

Me either. I guess folks just want to see a change. Perhaps they feel having a more mobile QB will add another dimension to our offense. It probably would, but not from Ganz. He just doesn't have all the tools to be starting. Next year it will most likely either be Witt or Lee starting IMO. :)
