Again, I'm reminded that Northwestern went 1-12 in 2022 and followed up with a scandal that engulfed the entire athletic department. Less than a year later it takes a 7-5 record to a bowl game. It's hardly a great team, and I wouldn't say it got a s#!tload of talent in just one season, but Northwestern cut its turnovers from 30 in 2022 to 9 in 2023. Nebraska isn't far from doing that. They're a better quarterback (hard to get worse) and a healthier RB and WR core away from let's say, winning the Big 10 West.
It will be a whole other tier to get competitive with Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and Washington, but it's perfectly reasonable to expect improvement.
