Would this really be happening if

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Please close this thread immediately.
Have you played football? Bo doest show the fiery and the passion he did last year because of harvey and some of the fanbase breathing down his neck. Football players react and play better for a fiery and passionate coach, if you've ever played football you would know what im talking about.

Responding only makes it worse. The fanbase will never be to blame for Pelini's abject failure.

He got in ref's faces, so what? A lot of coaches do that. Who cares if he got in Martinez's face in the A&M game, you see Saban get in his players faces all the time and you dont see him having problems. At least when he gets in the ref's faces, the players know bo has their back.

Im not blaming all the fanbase, am i? I said SOME, correct? If i remember correctly, pearlman and the fanbase said "bo needs to done it down and be more calm." Well guess, he did tone it down and has became more calm and look where that's gotten us.

Fanbase will never be to blame. I think it's fair to ask if Harvey and TO reigning Bo in, was bad management of Bo's personality and had negative consequences.

I disagree, but fair question.

I feel that SOME of the fanbase caused harvey and TO reigning Bo in. In the past few years, you've seen Bo's team ALWAYS play with heart and passion, but not this year. So this is where you ask questions, what has changed? Well, Bo's personality is calmer but his schemes seem to still be the same. His "new" personality doesnt seem to be lighting the fire under the players.

One last thing, when a coach gets criticism from a fanbase, then the AD and the president of the university try to step in to please the fanbase, correct?

I think it's probably just Harvey - and TO especially's - style. Maybe some big time boosters got into it too, but I don't know. I don't think the fanbase in general really have anything to do with this, we don't have that kind of hold over the athletic department. Don't care what the fans say about a coach, no good AD runs his program that way. He makes the shots, not the fans.

I think TO and Harvey have maybe always been like this, and it's just the pressure they put on Bo to reign it in stepped up a lot more when it kept getting worse as opposed to better.

I don't think that is really related to what is happening this year, though.

Yeah, but ads and presidents still feel pressured by a fanbase and i know there were a lot of husker fans complaining about how bo carried himself. You have to look at whats changed. Since Bo has been here, our team has always played with heart except this year. So what's changed this year that wasnt there the other years? Well, its obvious Bo's demeanor has changed. Even tho we are young we still have talent and inexperience wont correlate if you play with heart or not. What else would you contribute to the team playing the way they have?

We saw it last year with games like SDSU, Texas...Holiday Bowl...tough to put a finger on. I don't know if I can really blame anyone for something as vague and all-encompassing as a whole team not playing with heart. Not sure if that is even that true.

Would this be happening if Bo hadnt fired Sanders for some mysterious reason and hired some high school buddy as an OC? Im confident Bo lost this team because of this. SW should have been fired but replaced by a proven OF.
