WOW THIS IS BIG

Did anyone that went to the game on saturday see how it looked like callahan didnt even give two craps during the tunnel walk?? Not saying he ever really does but this tunnel walk he looked even more like he didnt care about the game or anything.. I think he has given up on his job... I hope all this is true an get his a$$ out of here an bring in someone that will give us a chance to win the rest of the games...
I noticed this right off the bat. The same way he showed up at the press conference last week without any husker garb.

Cally is just buying his time, going through the motions. Everyone and I mean everyone knows he is gone. Not if, but when

If this information is credible, and I have no reason to challenge it, BC is one of the biggest a$$hole$ I have ever 'known.' This entire drama makes me think that he was never interested in coaching this team, that he was in it exclusively for his own financial benefit, is probably still bitter about his Raiders gig, and has small male equipment. I cannot believe that he is dragging us through this sh#t storm. He has used Nebraska, its players, the university, and it makes me happier than ever that we canned pederson.

I want to thank any booster that is personally shouldering this man's contract. He doesn't deserve the paper his contract was printed on and I'm glad I don't have to give him a dime. Thanks for nothing you a-hole and taking a struggling program and driving it into the shitter. Hope he finds a safe haven in exile outside of our state. Don't forget...your moving expenses will be tax deductible for 2007 if you are out in the next two months!

You just don't get it. I'm not a "fan" of any individual. I don't know enough about any individual staff member to say that he SUCKS. Neither do you, but that hasn't stopped you, has it?
Where did I say that any one person sucks? The coaches' records speak for themselves. Callahan lost his team in Oakland and he has lost this one too. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

This season has been deeply disappointing, and it is clear that something is amiss. However, the behavior and statements of so-called "fans" has become pathetic. Don't accuse ME of not having been a fan; I always was, and it didn't much matter if they won or lost. I wasn't going to crap on the team or the staff (at least, not TOO much), set the campus on fire, and demand firings by the dozen.
We are all fans, but most of us have been embarrassed by a team that has no heart and that comes from no leadership. If you are truely a Nebraska fan you have to realize that changes have to be made. This team had more talent then it did 3 years ago but it may well go down as the worst in the modern day of Husker football. Thats on the leaders (coaches).

I assumed that Coach would catch on, and I still believe that if he had the tenure of Osborn, he would achieve similar accomplishments.
That is your major problem. Callahan has never concerned himself with or embraced Nebraska and its traditions. He was never here for the long haul, it was just a job. He has far surpassed OSBORNE, in the shame and embarrassment he has brought this program. He will never again have a major head coaching job. After Callahan's first season, all comparisons to Osborne were null and void.

Alas, those days are over, and I truly do fear for the Huskers' future. If you think that we are national laughingstocks now, gentlemen, just wait until the final dustup happens. They will be chuckling about this for years to come.
Apparently you haven't been paying attention to this season. Pederson/Callahan MADE us the national laughingstock. That's what we already are. Pearlman and Osborne are trying to turn that around, and bring some of the pride, dignity, and tradition back to our beloved program. Either you need to get on board, or get left behind.

Forget him, he's clueless.

Callahan has had enough of the zoo, and now he is just daring Osborne to fire him. He does not hold him in any special regard; like any other coach would feel, he strongly objects to having a 70-year old retiree looking over his shoulder, and he still has enough pride that he will not let Os walk all over him.

BC knows that he is gone. At this point, he is more than happy to stick it to NU fans; he certainly feels no affinity to them after all of this. Right now, it is a battle of cajones between Callahan and Osborne, and we shall see who wins. My money is on Callahan.

As I have said, this is like an episode of The Twilight Zone.

Freemason, go away and bother other people. Maybe bother your wife or children or dog but not us anymore. You are in the vast minority and are as the post said,"Clueless". Ok? bye bye and have a good life! You are now on ignore! ride away on your llama.... :nanalama

Solly is a credible source, and was the first to break the news about the Steve Pederson firing early Sunday evening before it happened.
This is EXACTLY what I have been alluding to, but most on this board seem to be fine with it.

Welcome to Alabama. Nebraska has become the Crimson Tide, and this implosion will be the talk of the nation for years to come. It's bad, it's real bad.
I thought you weren't posting anymore....

Kind of like the emo kid who doesn't get any attention for dressing different, they always come crawling back.

Uh, are you wanting to make this personal, friend?
Not, not particularly. In fact, come to think of it, the only person who's derided the entire message board is you.

No need for this. Just ignore people nobody has to tell people to leave. Believe me there are plenty that I would love to say that to but we just can't do it. Peace and hair grease, we are all one big happy family. <_<

Wow Freemason, you went from hoping the Huskers turn it around to pissing on Osborne for all practical purposes. Must be a Callahan Fan more than a Huskers Fan. I hope he goes to a team that you can cheer for when he is gone.

Maybe he is Bill? Maybe Bill is spending more time on message boards than working with the team?

That explains it <_<

BTW, the only thing that Callahan will ever beat Osborne at is the "A-hole of the Year Award."

You folks just really don't get it, do you? I'm no Callahan fan, but I do recognize that his present circumstances are impossible. He will do the rational thing and extract as much as he can from a miserable experience.

My whole point is that Husker fans cannot continue to make coaching at NU a miserable experience. This is the second coach that you have axed since Osborne.

It will become increasingly difficult to attract decent coaches to NU in this environment.

If he is anyone, he is Cozgrove. I actually think Bill puts in the hours. I really hope Coz doesn't, because if he puts in a ton of hours to come up with those schemes, well, lets just say I feel sorry for him.

and he never understood or bought in to the tradition here....remember the CU loss......."just one game, just one season". i smelled a rat right from the beginning, but gave the bastard the BOD.

In my opinion, WE didn't axe Frank, most fans were calling for one more year with his upgraded staff. Pederson axed Frank.

Pederson and Callahan are getting what they deserve. No one will fault NU for casting Callahan off, and bringing Osborne back will restore much of what Pederson/Callahan destroyed.
