WOW THIS IS BIG

Off the subject here. If any of you are watching the NFL game right now, did you see the sideline reporter???? They at least used to put eye candy on the field. That thing looks like a man. Yikes!
You mean Suzy Kolber?
I think there are two sideline reporters and I think Suzy Kolber is kind of hot, so it's the other one.
Michelle Tafoya??

I saw Suzy Kolber, and looks like somebody glued hay to her head...
That wasn't glue

Yes, hair gel. It was a special kind though. It comes in the south and is exported by Shaft Co.

Not Suzy Kolber, the other one. She looks like.....uh.....a man er something....maybe Billy Crystal without the beard, bigger eyes and bigger man cans.
I'm sitting here at work, laughing...

Apparently you haven't been paying attention to this season. Pederson/Callahan MADE us the national laughingstock. That's what we already are. Pearlman and Osborne are trying to turn that around, and bring some of the pride, dignity, and tradition back to our beloved program. Either you need to get on board, or get left behind.
:yeah Pud started the laughing by the way he fired Solich (not by the firing of). By his absolutely pompous speach, by the ridiculous coaching search, by his not giving Pelini or Gill a serious look, and by his settling for a run-out-of-town NFL coach. We are not becoming a laughing stock, we have been one since PUD got here. But, with every painful experience, begins a healing process. Pearlman hired the right Doctor. (I am going to pat myself on the back for the healing process/Doctor analogy).

This is the type of info weve been waiting for from IBR found on another blog "Solly" was his or her name READ THIS:

All right, at the risk of another sh!tstorm in my "Inbox", (and there damn sure better not be any more anonymous calls to my home in the middle of the night!), here are a few posts from the Champions Club outlining the last few days' rumblings:

Saturday Night:

Just a few tremors so far.

Same $ people who met after last week's debacle met again today. In fact, they were still in one of the skyboxes at 8PM.

Something will happen this week, whether it's a sacrificial lamb, (Cosgrove), to buy time, or wholesale changes, (3 or 4 coaches, including Callahan), to clean house.

Tom isn't involved with these buyout negotiations, and I don't think he'll be able to stop some action from being taken.

Dark times, friends and neighbors.

I'll be talking with some folks tomorrow.

Sunday Afternoon:

Lawyers from Texas in Lincoln today. They were at the game with big $ guys yesterday, managed the meeting, and have been in contact with Callahan's agent.

Through that agent, Callahan has been asked to resign yet again, effective before close of business Monday. He has turned down all previous offers, each time demanding more money. The pot is up to the full value of his extended contract - which is still under what his agent has demanded.

Cosgrove will go if Callahan goes, stay if he stays; his representative's stated position is that he will follow Bill's lead.

BFFs indeed.

No further specifics on other assistants, except that Watson IS willing to stay on as interim HC/OC/QB coach, and asking for an interview for OC under a new head coach.

Still a couple of people I'm trying to corral for info, but basically, if anything is to be done this week, it will be done in the next 30 hours or so. If nothing happens, it will mean that Callahan is trying to squeeze even more money to haul his sorry a$$ out of town.

Sunday Night:

One source so far...

Representatives from all the principal players in this little drama appear to be very close to a deal.

Still no word on any resignation finding its way to TO; might be a bit early for that.

Something could happen yet tonight, but I wouldn't look for any public announcements until tomorrow.

I'll see if I can confirm with a couple of other sources, and let you know.

This Morning:

Very quiet since last night. I've talked with 2 people this morning, both of whom think that something will happen today. However, no one is offering more than speculation so far as details. That speculation ranges from BC resigning and leaving RFN, to resigning and finishing the season, to announcing that he absolutely will not resign.

There are some rumblings - only one source, but a good one - that TO was none too pleased with BC after their postgame meeting, (for which Callahan was 20 minutes late), in either the answers he got or with BC's attitude. Bottom line, BC resents the hell out of Osborne, and has been surly and uncooperative - shocking. Osborne doesn't think much of Callahan, either by all accounts.

I would offer only this: There is no practice today. If any action is to be taken, it will be today, perhaps tomorrow morning at the latest, in my opinion. With the team embarking on a 2-game road swing, (4-6 coming right up!), it seems unlikely that anything will happen until after the season if it does not happen this week.

Here's hoping.

More as I get it.

Dude, if you're going to lift my posts from BigHuskerFan.com, at least have the courtesy to link to the thread.

[urlLINK DISABLED BY MOD[/url] (We do not promote that board here. Paste and copy becuause it isnt paid info but NO links.)

So, just to be clear, is it this board's policy that it's OK to basically steal content without giving full credit?

Because "that board" would link HuskerBoard.com if it used a story from here.

Seriously though what was that thing?? Yucky!

This is weak. Stick it out, finish the season. Changes can and will happen a week or so after the Colorado game. But for now, nothing should or will change. Suck it up, take it on the chin, & quit spreading rumors or hoping for something done right now.

Got Texas this week. Root for the Huskers, man. Win or lose.
A voice of reason. THANK GOD!!!!

don't make too much of this. it is the first time something like this has happened at NU. it will quickly be forgotten. drastic measure for a drastic situation. ped is the one to blame, you have to wonder who gave this a-hole the keys to the stadium.
I suppose the real question should be--since when has NU been in the business of selling keys?
You're a fool! Why just come on here to start trouble? Who cares who's running the show, so long as the right decisions are being made and or pressure is being put on people to make the right decisions. This program is no different than any other program, not just Alabama! Bottom line is winning, the boosters support the same ideas as a large majority of us on this board and I'm glad they have the balls and the means to make it happen.
Name calling is against board rules. Warning.

Well there was an interview from Bo, and he says he really loved the Nebraska Atmosphere. If the money and offer was there, he would be on it.

With the Past loss this week it is eminent for Callahan's demise. With a loss from A&M, we have a heeeeeelll of a final lap for a schedule. Texas, Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado. It could be humiliating the outcome of the rest of the year.

Basically my best bets our on offers for Gill or Pelini. Osbourne LOVES Turner. But I believe Pelini is the better coach.

Then there are rumors on Rimington as AD. I would be pleased seeing even more past huskers become involved.

Agreed. I am interested in learning more facts about those two gentlemen. I know Bo can coach, we've seen that, and he can inspire. But apparenlty Turner is doing one hell of a job for one of the worst teams in football, and he is also a very inspirational figure. My biggest fear is that we don't learn the lessons of history and go looking outside the family. People keep asking "why former Huskers?" and my answer is look at what an outsider has done to our traditions and our fire. I'm not saying another coach coulnd't be successful, but at the very least there should be some demonstrable Nebraska-ness in him, or better yet, a strong history with the team. Part of our legacy is our family, and I don't like the idea of trading that for wins. I think the wins will come with a return to the traditions. I could be wrong, but they've worked like a charm so far.

Nebraska will never be recruiting central. We're not Los Angeles. But we can be Nebraska, and that, so far as I'm concerned, is all that we ever needed to be to begin with.

Lets be completely clear. People cut and paste content from FREE boards all the time. It is our policy to not link to other Husker message boards. If you feel this policy wrong, pm an admin.
