He is extremely fast both straight-line and cutting in his videos (not sure how good the competition was so it's still relative). This is a guy who is not only fast in the 40, but translates that speed onto the field.

If he could be even Bobby Newcombe like in the WCO, that would be great. Tressel threw him a free ride at him so you know he has to be good. I don't know why he picked The Big Red, but I hope it sticks

Played in the toughest division in Ohio. Very good comp

They play some pretty good teams in the Cleveland area. Actually a few of his games might be on TV here. If so I'll try put together some highlights.

(As well as speculation, wishful thinking, and a few sour grapes like every other board on the Internet.) And a few nice comments about us.

Welcome to the "Man On Fire"! I am really excited about this kid. He is a burner and I expect to see Gabbert throwing it long for him to go and grab it! Kick off and punt returns just got exciting in a great way. Great to see us go and take this one from Ohio State. Sounds like he really likes the direction we are headed and I am expecting him to have a stellar career at NU! :thumbs :corndance :woo

over on the OSU board they are obviously disappointed in his commitment to NU, but unlike other teams, actually had some good things to say about D.J. and NU

 
He has now been offered by Ohio State. Buckeye fans thought that he would commit pretty quickly but word is he and his family were very impressed with Nebraska....no telling when he might announce. I see this one as going down between us and Ohio State. Tressel wants him as a CB. Looks like we have him as WR. If he wants to be a WR, I give us the edge.

What's Ohio State's outlook for next 5 years? After getting demolished by Florida, does anyone really expect them back in title game anytime soon? The Big 10 just seems to be on the decline right now. Would be nice to see Wisconsin win it this year. Michigan should be strong but teams like Penn State, Iowa, and Purdue don't seem as strong compared to recent years. And does anybody even fear teams like Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan State, and Minnesota?

I really like this kid. He seems to have the make-up that we like. I think that will do us well especially if he senses Ohio State only offfered him as an afterthought (why did they take so long since he is in Ohio? Did they have a spot open up due to not getting player they wanted before Woods?). Will be interesting to see...we should definitely have Woods visit for a game day! :)
