Listed as a "boom or bust" recruit. Have heard this before, but now personally reading by a national sportswriter. Says he shows up for game day, but leading up to, he doesn't work. Notes the Army AA as an example. Plus, a couple notes on Ben Miles and Elijah Blades

This kinda plays into exactly what KJSr said about camps. So Lewis is good at football, but they are worried he will no longer be good at football because he isn't thrilled with running around cones at camps they sponsor? He'll be very good. And in the NFL.

Think its more they don't see the passion for football in Lewis. If he doesn't have that passion and does/did normally waif around during the week and only showed up for games, then thats a bad habit that could be hard to break. He has all the talent in the world, but a lot of talented players don't make it if they also don't want to work hard.

The toughest part of his recruitment is the amount of time Nebraska put into getting him here. His heart is at Nebraska just like Calvin's is. USC did not recruit him anywhere near as hard as Nebraska did and he knows that. USC slow played him considering his talent and proximity. If he stays, its because someone else convinced him too. He settled to make others around him happy. It is a shame.

Hmm, makes me think Vincent knows some stuff like he says...

Nope, Vince R nailed it on the head. People close to it confirmed as much. Location and record were not even remotely a factor. USC did their USC thing and that's that.

Not saying there weren't outside influences. But I don't think that article says anything about Lewis and Johnson other than they signed with USC.

If you're trying to use that article as proof you're WAAAAY over-stressing one sentence to fit what you want it to say.
