To which school will Terry commit?

Are we still feeling good here or is this one that slips away in the end that we’ve seen all too often as of late?
I think playing with Dylan is a big plus for him from what I’ve seen, but have lost track of any recent news.

I don't have any inside info or anything, but I think for the big time recruits in this class it's going to come down to how we look on the field. Signing in the same class as a QB recruit like Raiola is one thing, but this next class has the luxury of waiting to see how much of the hype is real. Right now this team seems to be trending up, but the big fish will wait and see if that trend continues in actual games - and may still commit elsewhere anyway.

Bingo. How we perform this fall will drive a lot of how recruits view us. If we come out and lay a bunch of eggs again, we probably lose out on a good number of the highly ranked recruits. However, if we come out strong and make some waves, those recruits may join us.

Alternatively, how other programs perform may sway recruits too. If A&M struggle badly with their new staff, Terry may nix them quickly. Same goes for Dawson with Bama. Whole lot of time between now and Signing Day.

The trick is, how many of these guys are going to wait till well into the season to see that before the commit somewhere?

It's one reason why I'm all for keeping the first signing period after the season instead of making it before the season like it's been discussed.

Pretty much this.  So many guys commit in the summer now, which makes it harder.  I'm sure we'll stay after them and try to sell them on progress but it's harder after they commit.

Hearing he's a Texas lean. I predict he'll go to the Longhorns.

He's been a state of Texas lean for months. The only schools who have recruited him well and have well-detailed plans for him is Oregon and Nebraska. Both Oregon and Nebraska had made him a priority from the jump and have shown him real detailed plans on his position and day to day. The other doorknob universities show him luxury cars and downtown nightlife. Texas just recently showed him their plans for him on his recent OV. In the recruiting world and at this stage of his high school career, that's really bad and downright negligent.

I agree w/ you 100%... that said, in the end I still think the Longhorns pull it off
