Hunter was honored as 7-on-7 Overall MVP @ The Opening today. Eddie Vanderdoes was DL MVP.

Imagine getting both of them...quite the long shot. But it'd be our best class in awhile.

I know we were in the running early since his dad is from arkansas but i havent heard much about him since petrino was fired...kinda sucks having to battle both the MLB draft and other teams for him. “I feel like I’d be a good fit here, just from beign around the players and everything,” he said. “It allowed me to see the good character that they have and now I know I’d fit in with them.”

He had alot of good things to say, from his quotes he seems like a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. Talked with Erstad quite a bit as well. Love the facilities, got to sit in on some player meetings, said that was alot of fun. During the meetings they were watching film and he was surprised at how much we were throwing the ball, he said alot more then people said we did. Will come back for an official. Another one where we "opened his eyes" to what Nebraska is all about.
