You are a bad fan

Im probably a bad fan too. But while I've never or never will turn off a game, I've pretty much conceded that this is just the way it is. i bought into all the "this team is different" hoopla, when in all reality we've learned quite clearly saturday night-for the second time this year already-that it's not. 9-4 it is again. And until it happens one the field and we see it, I am now solidly on the stance and not just pondering it, that this is as good as it gets under the Pelini management. Now whether or not this program (NOT BO) is capable of better in this current atmosphere of college football, that's not for me to decide. But I like to think we are, cuz the issues holding us back have nothing to do with SEC cheating, recruiting disadvantages, facilties, and espn agendas. it's simple basics of football that we f#*k up time and time again on the important stages. And I'm just sick of it.

Yes. Im afraid youve finally seen the almighty sunshine pumping accountability flip the switch. now have at it. call me what you want.

Of all the junk we've watched over the last few years, you flipped on a game that came down to the final minutes against a top 10 team? It's not even like you were on the fence, you were pumping sunshine just a few days ago. I predict you'll hop back on the bandwagon in a week, two weeks tops. This game was bad, but it was no where near what we've endured the last couple of seasons.

Can't really say that you're wrong about a single thing in your post. It just sucks is all. We have a lot of bright spots on our team which we didn't have a couple years ago but once one area progresses, something else regresses. It's frustrating.

Christ act like adults. People say things when they are upset. All of us do. I quit reading the game thread because it was so bad. Not saying I didn't feel the same at times. These are kids, our lives should not depend on their winning or losing. Calm down on both sides.

My guess the comment came after a few or many beverages, that mind alter. All of us love this program. Remember that. I truly doubt there is anyone on this thread that loves Nebraska more than Polo. He speaks from his heart, like a lot do. Most were truly hurting tonigh, it has eased some. And it may have been just exactly what we needed. These kids fought till the end. Nothing to be ashamed of in any way.

MWJ will be back, and quickly is my guess. This is an addiction for most of us!!!! No hard feelings from me. My guess all of us have said something similar at one time or another. Some are just so involved. But we are fans, that is our job.
Well said. Too many beverages. I love this team. +1
No you dont.

I could care less if a fan wants to leave the game early or turn the channel because they are done with it. Last night, who could blame them? I chose not to turn the TV off. I did stand outside on the final drive because, well it worked against Ohio State in 2011, thought maybe I could conjure up some karma magic by sitting outside on a cooler. Did not pan out.

The fans that left early in 2010 when Texas embarrassed us weren't in the wrong. It was a poor showing by the team and frustrating for attendants. I was among them. We missed a TD but inevitably the game was still a loss. Fans that left early in 2013 during the NW game missed a miraculous hail mary win. Must hurt to know they could have stayed for the celebration.

Bottom Line: Leaving early or turning the channel doesn't make anybody less of a fan. It just means their tolerance for disappointment differs from those who choose to endure painful games til the end be it in person or on TV/Radio. It's okay either way really. Doesn't effect the outcome of the game one way or another. But honestly if your going to be done with the game the last thing you should want to do is go on the message board and tell everyone how your done knowing full well it's going to start a big "I'm a better fan" debate. We are all fans, except Polo who hates everything good and only listens to Creed.
so, bo was wrong to call them f'ing fair-weather fans?

Dont get defensive because you quit on this years team and are now coming back with your tail between your legs.

Its cool.. Obviously quitting on your team is the norm around here, so I am sure you will fit in just fine
