Yes, this may be the ultimate panic, sky is falling thread.  I am not saying the sky is falling and I honestly hope Rhule can fix things that we saw vs Indiana.

I know it is way to early to speculate but this blowout loss to Indiana has opened up old wounds/frustrations.  It is apparent change needs to happen.

Many say we need to make a coaching changes throughout the Offense, ST and even possibly on D.

Others are saying he isn't a program developer as we were told and expected.

First big question on this thread:  If Rhule doesn't make changes to the coaching staff going into the 2025 will you support him?

Question 2: If we end this year and 2025 around with a 6-6 record , will you support him after 2025 even if he made coaching changes?

Question 3 i allows for multiple choices.  Which coaches if any should be let go in order to improve our team.

So for now, this thread is a measurement of your support for Rhule.  My hope is that he turns things around.  I still support him but believe

some coaches need to be let go.   I think he is a good spokesperson for the university and I believe he is a good motivator for the team.

I hope after the 2025 season we aren't asking if Rhule, himself, needs to be replaced.  I hope he has will make changes that prevent that from happening.

It still depends a great deal on how this season finishes. I am, of course pessimistic on it. But, the fact remains that it is technically true that Nebraska could still finish 10-2 for the regular season. Of course, I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that occurs, but it is technically possible.

More realistically, the ceiling could still be (and this is me being super generous) 9-3. I think 5-7 is far more likely than 9-3. I lean towards 6-6.

With a 6-6 record, changes would need to be made to the staff, absolutely.

I would have liked to see a “depends how season plays out” option for which coaches need to be fired. I mean yes, Ed Foley special teams is low hanging fruit and deserving of a vote at this point but the others…..I honestly couldn’t answer yet. The OC is always a popular option and looks like maybe not a bad choice today but it’s much less often the correct choice imo.

Big difference between 6-6 and 5-7 imo.  Terrible question imo.
Not for year 3.  Yes 5-7 doesn't get us to a bowl but 6-6 in year 3 shows little to no growth.

I'll add it.

I’m shocked more people don’t want McGuire gone.   I think it’s pretty accurate for the poll results. A lot of frustration. A loss will also sting, but a complete beat down is tough.  Especially in light of NIL, portal, etc.

To echo @knapplcKudos to you loyal SOB who thinks Foley should stay.  Anyway to see if that voter joined last year?  I mean Ed is that you😂😂

Is it? If we finish 6-6 that means we ended the season on a 1-5 record, outside of Ohio state it would be against teams that are peers to us talent wise.  A 6-6 season, based off how we started, would be an abject failure and will throw away all the goodwill Rhule has built

Same. There isn’t a single supporting argument to be made to justify him staying. He’s a kid in his mid 20s and this his first big time job. We should be using the money we have, which is a lot, to hire a guy with 20-25 years of coaching experience. It’s borderline laughable some of the passes fans give some of these coach selections. You can’t both expect to be relevant nationally and be ok with a coaching staff with minimal experience at this level. We learned that lesson with frosty and we’re repeating the same s#!t again

The question asked if we finish this year at 5-7 or 6-6....  This year it would make a huge difference.  The extra practices we have missed and the fact that nobody on the team, outside of a transfer or two, has been to a bowl game is huge.  If we go 5-7 this year, people will be upset but many will retain support depending on the factors.  Then if they do make a bowl next year, it is progress albeit weak progress.  Reverse that, and go 6-6 this year and then go 5-7 next year and fan support drop would be massive imo.

I am not happy and think we need to make changes but to the majority of our fan base, making a bowl game or not making a bowl game is a big difference imo.

A bowl game and practice would be huge no doubt. But let’s say we make the bowl at 6-6 and lose it to finish at 6-7, that’s a f’n massive failure optic wise for a team that started 5-1

I don't disagree... but to do something you haven't done since 2016 would be a step in the right direction.  6-7 is very different than 5-7 to a fan base that hasn't had post season play in almost 10 years.

Step in the right direction for sure, it’s just sad this is how far we’ve cratered. Too early to be calling rhules security into question but 6-6 would be a first class ticket for satt, McGuire and foley to kick rocks. Donovan would be included on this too but I don’t see a scenario where we can kick his underwhelming track record to the curb without losing Dylan
