To all the people that think mediocrity is fine. Name something in 5 years that Bo Pelini has won? In that time Nebraska hasnt beaten anyone that has ended up being ranked in the top 10.(0) Because we always lose to teams in the top 20.(UW, UT,OU,OSU, OSU, MU, and USC) and we still lose to teams that are not in the top 20. ( ISU,NU,UW,UM),,. Big deal about stats, on how many yards we have rushed for,or thrown for.. (Statistics dont mean a hill of beans if you dont do it against a good team!!)....Because when we play against someone that is good.. We always lose.. We always struggle, and now we are struggleing to win, against undersized opponents like Northwestern. how pathetic is that?... lol.. Because we are weak... And, whats worse as fans? we have been conditioned to accept it, because over 9 years, we have been led to being light weight, first by Bill Callahan, Shawn Watson, and it continues today with Tim Beck, and Bo Pelini.. We have to rid ourselves of these types of people. We have got to get back to slugging people, in the I formation, we have got to get back to Tom Osbornes way of offense. Why cant anyone see this???

And what can one say about defense? thats easy,, " When Ndamkong Suh left, our defense left with him"...

Do you want a good measureing stick? Michigan will be a good one...We are going to lose at home, against Michigan, by at least 18 points. Thats right! i said at least by 18 points!! and Michigan got blew out by Alabama!!. this should tell you disbelievers, just how bad it is in Lincoln.. This should tell you just how far we are away from actually being respectable.... This should also be the eye opener, to all you blind people, that tells you, those Ohio boys running this spread offense at Nebraska, is not the answer!!!.. Because for whatever the reason is, Bo and Tim are doing exactly the same thing as Bill and Shawn did, by neglecting the resouces at Nebraska. the physicality of our massive 3,&4 star lineman, not to mention the depth of them, the tenacity of our 3&4 star running backs, the surprise of play action. and the surprise of speed on misdirection..

If we are going to run this spread offense? Why have a weight room? Why have walk ons, Why recruit big physical lineman? Why recruit big running backs?

The spread offense is designed for teams like Northwestern, and not for Nebraska..

 
I'd have to say this seems a little bit disconnected from reality.

We have great size/speed/athleticism, and our offense is pretty physical. We're missing other things, yeah, but Bo & co are also assembling some very promising pieces. They'll need to prove they can put it all together with them. But come on, really? 'why have a weight room'? Not sure that you understand how physical any offense strives to be, including the 'spread' that I don't think we are running anyway.

What is with everyone's obsession with running the option? Is it really that big of a deal? Our offense can consist of kicking nothing but field goals, for all I care. I just want an offense that can win games, and that's what we have. Quit the bitching!

 
Tom Osborne didnt always run the option. He made it physical to where the defense ganged up to stop the middle, then he ran the option.. He was constantly changeing the defenses thought process, by running to areas being avoided by the defense

 
Disconnected from reality? It is you that is disconnected. Northwestern is not a juggernaut,,,,, They are tihy and little compared to us.. and?,, at the end of that game, it was us, and not Northwestern, that was praying for a missed field goal,

Are you seriously attacking our offense which is 12th in the nation in points per game? Our offense is the strength of our team right now

 
And one more thing? If you people think everything is fine and dandy in Lincoln? Go ahead put your chips up, and tell me how bad Nebraska is going to beat Michigan? lets see your bet? I did, because I know its stinks in Lincoln!

Yes I am attacking our offense.... It stinks, and as I said earlier? Big deal about statistics..... What good does it do to beat nobodies when you cant do it against good teams..
