White People

Pretty much. Created by entitled white guy with chip on his shoulder.
I don't know what kind of upbringing you had, probably a nice cushy one living in an all-white neighborhood, but I don't see how I am entitled. I grew up with basically nothing while being called racial slurs by the blacks I went to school with.
My family was poor growing up. My parents now do well but are by no means rich.

Growing up I have been called a cracker plenty of times, it really didnt bother me though, I was more focused on school, sports, and friends.

There is nothing that makes calling white people "crackers" right, I just choose to not give a sh#t and I suggest you do to. There is ignorant people everywhere, whether they are white or black.

Racial slurs aimed at white people are generally mild, so if you were overly offended by those slurs, then that's more your fault than the people who said them. Try just laughing them off next time.

Wait a minute. Isn't there an entire thread devoted to the fact that only the individual can decide what does and does not offend him/her? Does this self-identification of what offends/annoys oneself not include white people? Wow, the ignorance and double-standards are growing to epic proportions.

Racism is a one way street. Full of double standards. We've been conditioned by society to be ashamed to be white. I thoroughly enjoy being a 6ft3 190 pound white red blooded American male.

Would Asians be "rice crackers"?

I don't know of many other "races" that have a history of destroying numerous cultures. But, I could easily be wrong. And white is a pretty broad term. I don't really think people are conditioned to be ashamed to be a white person - just taught the history of what they have done.

Just about every ethnicity has a history of destroying cultures. Nobody should be ashamed of their heritage, but there's nothing wrong with being aware of it's history as you said.

Like Oregon said "white" is a pretty broad term. There's no such thing as a "white race" or ethnicity. We are all the same race (human) but there are a ton of different ethnicites that include "white" people. Irish, Polish, German, English, Czech, are just a few. "White" people band together all over the place. What do you think Czech festivals are about or Polish Days, or German festivals, or any of a hundred other celebration of "white" ethnic cultures? It's a time for people of that ethnicity or heritage to come together and celebrate it and outsiders are usually welcome as well.

I think you are reaching on the above statement. You really didn't respond to my statement other than by saying "white is a broad term," which I can see your point on, and you don't think we've been conditioned to be ashamed. Really don't know why you quoted me. Again, not saying you are wrong and I typically don't get into these arguments with people about topics like this, I just don't see much connection between your thought and mine. Maybe I'm not reading it right. However, I've said my piece on this topic and I'm moving on.

Not trying to argue. Just don't think it is a one way street - as everyone can be racist. The "whites" provided additional opportunities for colored/non-whites to offer some type of "support" for what they had <PREVIOUSLY> done to non-whites. That doesn't make black/mexicans racist - although they certainly can be. And 2 of my 3 points related directly to what you said... I was hoping to figure out why "white" people have been conditioned to be ashamed, in your opinion. More curious than anything.
