Alabama Possibly looking at sanctions?

The "south division" was also added to that lettering. We are well aware we did not win the conf championship game.

The way the Football Championships are awarded is both division champions are crowned "regular season" champions and the conf champ game winner is the "post-season (or tournament) champion"

I know. You should still be embarrassed. I don't get to excited about us showing up to conference championship games and losing. Just my $.02. Carry on.

What's the issue?

That picture was taken before the "south division" was added to the 2010 conference championship year...which is claimed as a co-champion. All claims are factual.
1919 - Wonder why Notre Dame doesn't claim the 1919 National Championship. I guess A&M has more in common with Harvard and Illinois, football-wise.

1927 - So a "National Championship" awarded by a computer program 50 years later? Really? Whatever you need to fill up a wall I guess.

Considering a major "decidiing" body still recognized A&M, it's perfectly reasonable.

Take away that '12 ship. Now the Nebraska v. Bama dynasty debate isn't even close.
Really? I think that's a reach.
You take away the 2012 National Championship and Alabama has 2 within 4 years, or 3 withing 5 years if they make it through their "brutual SEC schedule" this year. I don't think that is a reach at all. The debate was very close with both having 3 within 4 years. If you take one away, it isn't even debatable.
If you are talking to someone about which championships belong in the record books, you may need to choose a different dance partner than an A&M fan.

i wonder what memorial stadium would like like if nebraska would follow the aggie trend?

All it took was 12 posts to derai lthe thread to discussing if Bama was going to be sanctioned to re-opening the dastardly championships on the wall debate.

2011 Alabama - vacated

2009 Alabama - vacated

2010 co-champion? Wasn't it Nebraska and Oklahoma in the Conference title that year? Or am I missing something big? It is late on a Fri night, so my brain cells might be alittle dizzy.

A&M split the South with OU and one other team. All were considered co-champions because of the matching 6-2 B12 records, but due to the BCS rules, OU won the tie breaker to head to the CCG.
