Pelini on Tommie Frazier "We don't need him"

The correct response coming from Bo should have been, "Tommie was arguably one of the best if not the best college QB of all time and won two championships here at Nebraska. I know he's frustrated like we all are. We are doing out best and I feel confident in moving forward and having great success this season." Or something like this. A coach and representative of NU should know when to take the high road, can you imagine TO saying something like Bo did? I am sure the athletic department is none too pleased...

Bo probably doesn't think before he says anything. Which could be why he stutters and says "you know" a lot and some of his responses are flat and if you study his body language he obviously is not comfortable in front of people.

This is how adult professionals who make $2,000,000+ per year answer these type of questions

Bo isnt in some alley in Youngstown

Disappointing

This is how assistant coaches might feel, not how a big time college coach interracts with the media

If Bo really doesnt care what people think- THEN DONT CARE, but he obviously DOES and is fixated on it

I'm gonna just put all my thoughts into this exchange here.

Did Tommie bring valid points and represent views that a large percentage of the fan base feel? Yeah. Did he go about it correctly? Hell no. I will not get into the beaten horse of the facts that Tommie has been super critical of Bo since the whole Brion situation. I won't get into the piece of work he is off the field as it is a well known fact, and what i witnessed personally with my wife. What I do take issue is this guy coming off calling for coaches heads and how the program should be ran. From a guy that knows first hand how hard the profession is, and has no room to talk about trashing a schools tradition and reputation after the major sh#t storm he was responsible for down in Crete. Three wins and so many non professional/shadey actions later and this is the last guy who should be spouting off about the coaching profession to a broad audience.

A one on one conversation with Bo( highly unlikely to have occurred in a timely matter) or with Shawn E or an athletic Administrator. This had been brought up by some on here and its how it probably should have been handled. But alas

Now I like what Bo said, but again the handling of the situation was terrible, even more damning to him in the light of the deadspin ordeal ( which reeks of Dirk). The media, as discussed, in no way helped the situation. And as also been said Bo was damned if he did reply or damned if he didn't in the eyes of so many. I wish he would have handled it differently but I would sure as hell defend myself, staff, and team to a guy that got ran out of Crete for multiple faults.

I would post a standing ovation gif but I am on this godforsaken iPad.

Tommie is just trying to throw his weight around, and if you have seen him recently, he has a lot of weight to throw around.

It might not have been an appropriate response from Bo, but it doesn't mean it isn't true. No one needs to kiss his rear because he was a great QB in the 90's, I give him all the credit in the world for what he did. Tommie didn't need to run off at the chops on Twitter either so they are both wrong on some level.

Btw, just in case people dont know, TF is a jerk. Hes a legend on the field but mostly a zero off. I wouldnt give two sh#ts about what he said if i was the coach but you do have to be respectful. Just say he has his opinions and thats that.

Ya, half his team at Doane quit for a reason. I'm not Mr Social and I know several folks that have had negative experiences with Tommie. I'm still in a crappy mood from Saturday and I wouldn't care if Bo was gone but I don't resent Bo for telling Frazier to piss-off.

This doesn't even begin to start what wrong her did there. As an alum and former coach there is WAAAAAAAAAAY more

We admire Frazier for being emotional while we berate Bo for being the same thing. Double standards...
Not exactly the same, as we don't pay Tommy $2 million to represent the University...and Tommy didn't tell me to "F" off...
