Gun Control

I'm convinced that the government hires these guys to spin the controversy.

A work week that began with a mass shooting in Washington, D.C., that left 12 victims dead concludes with a mass shooting in Chicago in which 13 people, including a 3-year-old boy, were wounded.
It happened Thursday at about 10:15 p.m. local time in a working-class neighborhood called Back of the Yards in Chicago's South Side, NPR's Cheryl Corley reports.

She adds that "one witness told the Chicago Sun-Times that men fired at him from a car before turning toward a park. That's where the victims — several adults, two teenagers and the 3-year-old, were shot on a basketball court."

We live in a very sick world.
We live in a very sick country that refuses to do anything what I want them to do about their problems.

Super helpful, thanks. What steps have we taken to combat gun violence in the last year at the federal level? Improved DEA funding to track guns? Ramped up enforcement? Passed laws limiting sales or increasing background checks? This isn't about doing things that I want them to, this is about doing something. ANYTHING, to combat the epidemic of gun violence. The gun backers talk about mental illness or video games. Have they done anything to change that culture? Nope. Nothing. All of these "causes" of gun violence are just meant to distract you from the idea of gun control legislation. But if you really think it is video games, then we should be doing something about it. But they aren't doing a damn thing. It is all just empty words. When is it enough? What is the tipping point?

And this doesn't apply just to gun violence. Rather than getting anything done in Congress, they'll just shut the government down. It prevents them from having to legislate. The only thing the House seems interested in is votes to repeal Obamacare and hearings on Benghazi. Yippee!!! That's helping.

I don't hear much about how the Senate isn't doing anything since they are a majority also. Maybe if both sides were to compromise; nah, nevermind.

The Republika of Kalifornia has some people waiting up to 18 months. There is also a lawsuit against the AG and DOJ for the delays.

These cases may be that the names are similar or the same as names on the proscribed list. ?????

I've only waited my normal waiting period to purchase a firearm in sunny sokal.

We'll see how this last set of legislative measures effect things. Me thinks, more lawsuits acomin'. Course Gov. Sunbeam hasn't signed them all yet

Plus a majority of the Sheriff's are against much of the "gun control" legislation that the Supermajority Democratic government has passed. I think the only Sheriff's in favor of the gun legislation this session are located in or near Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento and San Diego.

I've got some land picked out in other states for our retirement.
