I keep coming back to this quote.....

"People act like playing football is putting a man on the moon," he said. "There's sophistication to football, but it's not curing cancer. It's, frankly, having the balls to think outside the box to do something."
And then I think about how we are told in press conferences about how we wouldn't understand all the technical stuff.
You wanna link us a quote?...........

(This is obviously a joke, but c'mon, you remember his conferences and quotes)

So now you're attributing a crapahan quote to Pelini?

Yeah that was definitely Callahan that said that.

Not that I am surprised you would get the two mixed up

And for the record, we wouldn't understand all the technical stuff; we just wouldn't understand more of the technical stuff in regards to curing cancer

I was more making light of the B1G commercial last year.

I guess I don't remember that commercial being shown in press conferences. Good attempt to backpedal though.
Oh my God.

The picture was a joke.

Are we going to sit here and pretend that Bo Pelini never blows off questions or dismisses things by talking about "the technical things?"

I like Moglia's quote. That was where this started.

Keep trying. You posted about the press conference before the picture.

As long as you sit here trying to save face for mistakenly referring to a Callahan press conference sound bite and attributing it to Pelini, after you made the initial accusation.

I'm seriously at a loss here.

Go read Moglia's quote that I referenced.

I understand one point BC has said that. I also understand Bo has referenced several times. Many times when trying to deflect a question.

If I'm losing face over that, then I hope it's on my bad side. Jesus.

I don't recall Bo ever making any reference to 'the technical things' or anything like that, and I would imagine count and others feel the same way, which is why you were asked for a link.

NU polo is insufferable.

If you think Moglia had ONE OUNCE of purpose to the success/failure of N football while he was here, well.....

I don't feel like getting banned.

His talents had no effect on Bo Pelini, a man who struggles from time to time with management skills, attention to detail, streamlining a working product, and is prone to micromanaging........

Ok, agree to disagree, good day.
I'm just really glad you're here to give us all this insight from within the program...myself, living on the East Coast...I don't have the ability to sit in the meetings with all the coaches and players like you do NUpolo....and thus I just don't have the perspective and insiders track like you do. I mean, you're able to observe all of this first hand and just wring the sponge of your knowledge-base upon us all. It's great that you're in those meeting rooms to see Bo's behavior and his management style and watch his lack of attention to detail unfold on the university and subsequently all the players.

I was just telling my wife the other day..... (someone tapping me on the shoulder...hold on....*whispers in ear*).....wait, what's that?....(*more whispering*)

NUPolo has no inside track or inside information about what is going on with the football team and is just as clueless as everyone here?

Where in the world did I make that claim? I'm offering up my opinion, just like everyone else here. Simmer back a little.

If you can't tell that was done tongue in cheek...then we need to feel pity for ya

Yeah. No you don't.

You truly do not recall Bo Pelini giving blanket answers and talking about a complicated process?
No. What I don't remember is him telling people we wouldn't understand technical stuff. Please remind us.

Blanket answers?

Yeah, I'm sure everyone including you Polo would be thrilled for Bo in his pressers to go into great deal of detail on how we play defense and the techniques and alignments.

I also think it's bullsh#t we dont send a playbook and formation sheet to our opposing coaches as well. They need to understand all the technical stuff too.
