"I think he has tremendous leadership skills, which is the No. 1 thing you have to be able to do to be a head football coach," Pelini said. "I mean, really, running a football team and running a corporation, I don't think it's a whole heck of a lot different, the skill sets that are necessary to do both things."He obviously demonstrated the ability in the business front to be able to do that. And I've learned a lot from him on how to run a football team. I throw things at him all the time. He's been a tremendous resource."

Pelini also said, "I don't know if I could be happier for somebody. Talk about having passion and following your dream and all those things. I think it's a great opportunity, but I also think that it's well-deserved.

I'd follow the buzzards with you anywhere.

LMAO! Settles what?

The fact that he has leadership skills. Duh, he ran a pretty fare sized company so I suspect he is personable, likable and a leader but that has little to do with him being on par with Bo in coaching skills.

or did I miss something here in this thread that you are referring to rather than my comment!

Let me add something too, Bo saying that he has learned a lot from him regarding how to run a football team (similar to a business) does not move the needle on my meter!

I wrote a book in 2nd grade called Lions on the Loose. That was about 30 yrs ago.

So I must be a zookeeper by now, eh?

If you don't know what "working 80 hrs as a special assistant to Bo Pelini" entails, let me fill you in: he wasnt in meetings giving advice to Bo EVER. how do I know this? Because my dad use to work 80 hrs a week for Tom Osborne.

Further proof you have zero idea about who/what/how a program is run.
Unfounded speculation, for all we know Joe could of been Bo's confidant who he discussed issues with.
Settles I am I's arguement that Joe wasn't giving advice to Bo EVER!

My bad, guess I have selective reading disorder.

I will stand however with what I stated that Moglia isn't in the same zip code as Bo when it surrounds coaching. But Kudos to Moglia in his present situation.

this is just a patently ridiculous assertion.

Let me be clear then: I venture to say with pretty solid certainty that Moglia did not have the upper hand in giving Bo X&0 advice that helped us go from 9.5 wins and 4 losses to 9.4 wins and 4 losses.

To say that Moglia would/could be the head coach at Nebraska is a ridiculous assertion; especially over Bo.

By the way, thanks for the quotes and giving me a learning moment on the relationship of Bo and Moglia. That's how it should be conducted.

I still stand on my thought that NuPolo is a negative "fan" and I'm sick of reading every thread that is on here such negative and baseless claims by him.

Since Bo said it out of his own mouth, I stand corrected on a few of those issues and I can admit that. But Polo, for the love of God just stop with incessant bashing and negativity. Please. It's just so old.
