There is (potentially) a big difference between this and Mike Brown. The white guy wasn't standing in the middle of the road, and there was actually a situation in progress.

With the current information that is leaking out, it would appear that shooting was far worse than the Mike Brown shooting, as the young man was shoot doing nothing illegal and was a victim already before being shot by police. Mike brown was an alleged criminal, strong armed robbery suspect, potentially resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, and a jaywalker.

But one was white and the other black so those trivial differences cancel each other out.
