I don't believe for one second Polo was banned just because his opinion ran counter to the herd. In fact, his opinions were quite popular lately given Pelini's departure. Avoid Polo's propensity for trolling and personal attacks, and I personally look forward to your opinions on HB for a long time.

it is all a matter of perspective. there are plenty here that i see engaging in personal attacks or "trolling", but they never would see it that way because they just think it is a good argument or not intended as a personal attack.
seems like people's skin gets much, much thinner when they are disagreeing with an argument.

Your last sentence can easily be used to describe Polo to a tee in many an instance though as well

You know he was too smart for that, and much to passive aggressive. He just criticized people's personal situations (partly their fault for sharing) or their line of work, then bitched about some personal attack on his family.

He was always right, and anyone who disagreed was an idiot/fool/whatever, and a [insert cliche about bo lovers/kooliad/etc]. Like Bo, he got some things right. But he did it without class and was many times a bully to people. Many times, he'd come in and make it about him and his opinion, even in a completely unrelated topic. He was a master of veiled insults and skirted the rules for a long time. He obviously had some issues with the admins & mods, hence him getting the boot.

Bascially, Polo was the Bo Pelini of Huskerboard.

lol @ the idea that polo was banned for "not going along with the herd mentality"

the dude was almost voted as head coach of the whole board aka most popular poster, and he has a ton of you defending him right now. it's not like his thoughts were incendiary or wildly unpopular by any stretch.
