I'm drawing my line in the sand here and now!

you should give them to an underprivileged family or sick kids if you are going to do something stupid like that
Nope, we want to leave the seats empty. We'll be back when the team shows that they are worthy of our time.
If we have another coaching demonstration against Wisconsin like we did against Illinois, I suspect there will be many more fans following suit. The Program looks weaker right now than ever before...let that sink in before you reply.
I'm sure the team is losing sleep over the fact you will be absent. Feel free to send me your tickets since you are foolishly wasting them.

My family has excellent tickets (between 40-50 yard lines) and we have decided that, as a family, we will not go to the Wisconsin game and leave our seats empty. We will start going to home games again after this team wins a conference game decisively, and not until then.

GBR!
Way to take the high road buddy. If you are not going to support the team at our low point dont come crawling back when we get back to the top. Fans like you are a disgrace, go root for someone else and stop acting like a child.

Holy elitist. Did you start having ill feelings for nebraska when they didn't allow you to have your white stallion horse graze on the field during halftime?

Seriously just give the tickets to someone going through some ish like Jack Hoffman, or let team jack auction them off for his foundation.

Empty seats may or may not cause change. But you could make someone's year by doing a good dead. You're what is wrong with this world

I may be in the minority here, but, I don't fault anyone for refusing to spend their money, time and effort to go to a football game if the team isn't performing well.

As we all know, going to any sporting even isn't cheap, and depending where you live, a single Husker game for two people could be worth hundreds of dollars in ticket prices, food, travel, and time. To devote all of that to a product that isn't going to perform well? I don't blame you.

There's a difference, in my opinion, between being a fairweather fan and being a fan who wants to send a message. Everyone else should think about something, too - if Nebraska were to perform poorly this year and the next year, eventually, more and more people would stop coming to the games. There's only so much hard-working, well-paying fans should have to endure and everyone has their breaking point. I don't find it fairweather at all.

What is fairweather, in my opinion, is writing off the Huskers, refusing to cheer for them and choosing to cheer for another team in the meantime. You can still be a Husker fan but not want to spend your hard-money watching a bad product.

Regarding "good deeds" - I do more than my fair share and I'm thankful to be able to do so.

I'm surprised your ego lets you post to Huskerboard. Might as well forgo that "fan" hobby as well.

As skinny as the seats are in the stands, your combined total of 36 inches will be gobbled up when everybody in that row takes an extra inch or two. So nobody will see any empty seats.

Your seats, your choice. But one can always make lemonade out of lemons. Give them to somebody else.

"My family" has excellent seats? My family?? You're like 12 years old, aren't you? I knew it!

In any case I guess those people sitting behind you are lucky. Well, only for this game though.

I sincerely hope you're right.

I agree with you moneyball. But I don't ever expect Riley to meet your requirements. I won't spend another dime on the Huskers until they have someone competent running the athletic department. They're the ones responsible for this sh*tshow.

So proud of you. It will give me more room to enjoy myself cheering on my team I love.

Thanks.

Ultimately, what you choose to do with your fandom is your own business. Nobody owes it to the Huskers to follow. If you're mad, don't. If that's how you would like you and your family to express your displeasure -- well, they're your seats. So you've earned it.
