Minnesota replacing Iowa as Nebraska's Thanksgiving Game

So now we're just another game on that Saturday vs being the showcase on Friday.

Can't blame them, we haven't held up our end of the bargain.
I also think that the Big Ten is resistant to have Black Friday games at all.

Before the season expanded to 12 games, they ended their season before Thanksgiving, and Nebraska-Iowa was only played on that Friday because NU had traditionally played on that day.

I am going on a limb and sayit will be on a Friday.  The schedule the B1G office released just has Saturdays. There will be multiple B1G Friday games throughout both 20 and 21, but everything is listed on a Saturday for now.

Iowa v. Wisconsin (West) and Michigan v. tOSU (East) the last week of the regular season before the Big Ten Championship. That's a kick in the nuts.

They had moved to having games that weekend anyway. The Game has been played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving since at least the year we joined.

Now....if they truly wanted a competitive game (series) on that weekend/day that included Nebraska, they would have kept Iowa.  We are 3-3 since joining the league.  Comparatively, we are 4-2 with Minny.

I'm all for this. It was more of a lose lose with Iowa. Nothing to gain from Minnesota either, but a lesser opponent and not Black Friday to make it feel like a rivalry game or something as important.

That was due to the season being expanded to 12 games, as I had posted.
I read it as we were the only ones to play after Thanksgiving. My bad.

I know B1G fans had wanted to play longer anyway, and it was talked about after OSU got drubbed by Florida when they had almost 60 days off between games.
