Nom, nom, nom
I got to where I was four hours short and the final exam from being VFR licensed, learning in a Cessna 152. Does that count for anything! LOL
PS...flying a small plane is a LOT more work than one imagines...
Airplanes are harder to fly imo, so many levers, knobs, wheels and checklists...I only have a few airplane hours, mine is all turbin rotor time.
So have some Nebraska fans, if we're honest. After our administration poached their best coach in school history, a small (but persistent) portion of our fan base started haunting their message boards, unintentionally/intentionally throwing salt in their face about the situation and unabashedly attended games in Husker gear. We've also taken some recruits and now a transfer. So UCF really green lit a transfer, just not to Nebraska? Can we please schedule them soon and remind them they are a G5 team? I'm happy for them and their season and all, but a lot of their fans have been total dicks about this situation and now it sounds like their admins are too.

I don't care if they're a non-P5 team and if this is just "life" for a non-P5 school - treating another fan base like that and ignoring their plight (which a lot of Husker fans have done) is, IMO, a brazenly d!(k move.
This is part of my point, though - the bolded is incredibly condescending. That's what I was getting at when I said 'haunting their message boards and intentionally/unintentionally throwing salt in their face.' I don't know why some portions of this fan base think it was OK to do that. Our fanbase interacting with theirs mostly consisted pf people genuinely sympathetic to them losing their staff and trying to be supportive of their stellar season. Granted, there were plenty of jerks I'm sure. Their fanbase interaction with ours greatly consisted of people who were just pissy their coach was leaving for a better job so they made comments as small as "it's boring there" all the way to "more of them should be eaten by alligators". One I saw on twitter basically went off on how terrible Scott Frost is as a person, never forgive him, Nebraska is now my most hated team etc etc.
Plenty of them get the 'why.' Our fan base gave them plenty of extra reasons to be upset outside of the facts of the coaching change. But, you put wood on a fire and it's going to get bigger.
All schools have to come to grips with potential coaching changes, recruit poaching and transfers. That's an unfortunate business angle of college sports. But, Husker fans trolling their fans, being condescending and showing up to the biggest game in their school's history wearing Husker gear is pretty pathetic. We've earned a lot of the shade we're getting from them.
Making it seem like it's a 'them' problem is totally disingenuous.
Your obstinance to a different viewpoint here is pretty curious. You seem defensive and offended by the notion that part our fan base is fallible in explaining why UCF's fans are being "dicks" to us.No, I don't think plenty of them actually do get the why. 90% of the commentary I saw on their behalf was pretty delusional in that regard.
So since we took their....I mean OUR coach, we weren't allowed to go to their game? Had the shoe been on the other foot you think it would have been any different? "Hey, we are hiring your coach who played for us 20 years ago and is from our state. Out if respect we won't watch, attend or talk about your program/games. In the meantime please be as nasty towards us as you want, we deserve it." Gimme a break. You wanna be an appologist that's your deal I guess.
Edit- And no I'm not condoning Husker fans being dicks or instigating anything or bragging about taking Frost etc. But it's a free country, we are allowed to attend any game we want.

I also find it interesting you defend this perspective by saying "it's a free country," yet complain about the way UCF fans are reacting to the whole situation. Hypocritical, but as some would say, that's your deal.

I am enjoying this discussion and hope it goes to 6 pages - it would be nice if it wasn't in NV's thread thou.....Because you think we seserve their backlash. We don't. Maybe some do, the ones that went out of their way to be jerks. I didn't do that. I didn't clog their board up with troll comments, provoke them on twitter, fo to their games and hold up "come home Frost" signs. And I didn't see a whole hell of a lot of that haopening anyways. The handful that did, of course were put on display.
I find it interesting you are willing to put our whole fanbase in the line of fire simply because of the actions of a few, yet ignore some of their most nasty responses. Martyr mentality, but as some would say, that's a you deal.
