This seemed like the appropriate titled thread. Had my first dissatisfied customer in about 20 years of being in business for myself. I’ve given some refunds before or discounted pricing for things that were actually our fault but this joker today came in and wanted a refund when we had given him exactly what he asked for. I asked him to explain to me why I should give him a refund and he starts telling me lies about what I told him we would do. Not to get into it too deep but he paid us to make a repair weld on an aluminum part. I only charged him $35 for $80 worth of welding because originally I kinda felt sorry for him because he didn’t seem too sharp. So anyway we did exactly what I told him we would do but mister wizard now thinks I told him we would “fix” his broken, non-functional part. I don’t know jack squat about his part, all I promised him was we would “try” to weld it and hopefully fix the leak. So, when I explain to him that he paid us for a repair weld and not to magically fix his POS he starts getting pissy with me. I reached in my pocket, pulled out a twenty, threw it at him and told him that’s all the refund he was getting. He starts telling me he’ll see me in small claims court (yeah, for the remaining $15  ) and tells me he’s going to the newspaper AND he’s going to tell all his friends. I started laughing and told him to get the f#ck out. You can’t fix stupid.
