That's once place I have managed to avoid the decade I've been on and off of HB.  I want my political leanings to be a mystery.  For instance, if I use virtue signal as a term of derision, I want you to assume I think orange man good, because that fits your narrative (edit to say that's not targeted at you specifically Mr. Knapp, just the world at large).  That's fun to me.

Super loud. Super clear. Got it.

To more directly address your point, I think your sense of civic duty, if that’s why you’re wearing one, should include the discipline to wear it properly.  And taking the time to learn what that means.

I’m married to someone with an autoimmune disease and my father has very bad hypertension.   That’s a shame because he’s tried very hard to be active and take care of himself my whole life.  As you know, hypertension is one of the more hospitalized comorbid conditions with Covid.

Im not going to go up to someone in the store and tell them how to live their life.   Mask wearer or not.  I’m just going to anonymously b!^@h about it in the woodshed.

If you’re going to wear yours like a$$ I’d rather you didn’t wear one at all and I’ll just give you extra space.  I’ll treat you like a sick person who is in it for the security porn.  That’s just how I feel about it.

It’s amazing the ads on mobile allowed me to type something this long but by God did I nail the s#!t out of that x button eleventy billion times.

I like to live dangerously with trash day and put it out when I hear the trucks in my neighborhood.

Free spirit! Livin' large, loose and wild.

I can't handle the panicked feeling when I hear the truck in the hood and my trash isn't already out. I usually put it out the night before.

I must have the best trash guys ever.  On the rare occurrence that I miss it and my second dumpster is  full, if I ask they are more than happy to tell me when they can come back and get it.

Can I trade you? My trash guys stole a lid to one of our cans last week.

Oh my trash guys would gladly come back and make a special.......$75 pick up. Heck, if we put out more than 2 lawn bags with our one container, the extra charges begin. And unbundled branches, forgetaboutit. And we don't have a choice of trash companies, we pay for it in our HOA fee.

I made it sound terrible but it's actually pretty good service and cheaper than we could find on our own. When I have extra stuff or branches I don't want to break down and bundle, I throw them in my truck and put them in my work dumpster.

Do you have Gallegos?

Dave and Mike Will.  Had them taking out the family trash since the days when I was a wee lad living under my parents roof.

I've gotten some pitches from some trash companies that did not seem locally owned or neighborhood friendly.

JJ and CDIZZLE, I think multiquote is broken.

I too live dangerously these days. I use to take it out in the morning with our recycling when I left for work. The recycling truck would come first and then garbage would get picked up in the afternoon.

Ever since COVID the garbage truck has been coming first, and way earlier. I've woken up a couple times to the truck rumbling past our house. Then I  jump out of bed and do the walk of shame to drop it off at our neighbor friend's the next block over, because their garage is in an alley, and nobody wants the smell of an old chicken breast container to hang around in the garage for a week.

Well today our trash guys are picking up trash, recycling, and yard waste. I always put our bins out before I leave for work around 7. They don't pick anything up until about 10 or 11. Most of my neighbors put theirs out the morning before   and put them on the sidewalk so they're blocking the sidewalk for a whole day.
