I think one could argue that the Democrats moved right when Clinton was in office with a lot of his policies around drugs & police, but the Democrats took a sharp left turn and jammed their foot to the floor around 2012, and have grown exponentially more radical since then.
Agree with the first part about Clinton but strongly disagree about a left turn. Only thing Obama got done was the ACA, which was based on conservative ideas:

A left turn would have been to policies like Bernie Sanders ran on, which Obama and a large chunk of the Dem establishment worked to oppose.

Republicans have a small faction of Q-Anon types that have strange beliefs, most of which are mostly harmless. The Democratic party has made their political radicals mainstream.

Didn't want this to get lost.

What are your examples of Democratic "radicalism?"

Objectively false. And frankly, this is the ONLY forum where I've EVER seen or heard this claim, aside from the lunatics on corporate media channels.

It's objectively true, as chronicled by every legitimate political observer, or a simple trip back to 1985 to observe the policy and rhetoric of the Reagan administration that is categorically deemed lunatic left by people like you.  Roe v Wade. Gun Control. Social Security & Medicare. Environmentalism. Policing and Criminal Justice. You name it, the GOP has moved farther to the right. Democrats have also moved to the right in an attempt to control the center, Obama and Clinton being prime examples. The people you identify as Lefty never considered Clinton or Obama one of them.

But don't take me or the lunatic corporate media channels' word for it. The far right is thrilled to take credit for it.

The weird part is this is all taking place in the political bubble. The American people themselves have maintained progressive and centrist positions on most policies. By the time they get to Congress, they're misshapen into a culture war designed to enhance partisan fund-raising.

Hey, why is this in the Shed?  Just so I can say ACH has some really f#&%ed up ideas? Because I don't want to stoop to that level.

Red’s passive/aggressive way of saying I’m right.

Yes. You are right about the one thing you're not entirely wrong about — that tiny little nugget you regurgitate in post after post to distract from the overwhelming evidence that you're wrong in a much bigger and more profound way.

All politicians are egregious douchecanoe's.

It's lessened by the media outlets cramming info down your throat, telling you who and what to be afraid of, and why.

Too many folks are overly willing to eat it up, and not actually think for themselves.

I think this is where Red needs to post his cute squirrel picture.  A douche CA lib calling me wrong is considered a badge of honor in normal humanity.
