He grew up around people in need of help. And his entire life he saw that they really do face difficult challenges in life, and accurately saw that Trump was a threat to them and his rhetoric is not helpful.

But then he realized these voters are stupid beyond your wildest imagination and you can exploit them for political power.

Nobody even knows who Jason Crow is. Nobody cares what Jason Crow thinks. If 50 people were going to come out against him, what havent they? The assasination attempt hasnt really even been talked about since it came

out the shooter is MAGA, so theres no reason they cant come out publicly against him now. They know its political suicide at this point to do that because he is staying in the race. 

 
I'm not amazed that something like the Pennsylvania shooting was allowed to happen. I'm amazed it doesn't happen more frequently. As long political figures appear in public, anyone with a gun and a death wish stands decent odds of changing history.

There was no security breach when Ronald Reagan was shot. He was surrounded by well armed professionals as you can see below. But the most twerpy little incel you can imagine almost took down the most powerful man in the world. If he'd grabbed a .38 instead of a .22 he would have succeeded.

So true.    Reagan will be ignored as well as any other previous prominent GOP leader other then any speakers who try to tell us why Trump is Lincoln's equal.  OPED quoted in part below.  They should just rename the party instead of stealing the GOP's past.

It was formed in 1854 as an abolitionist movement opposed to the expansion of slavery into western territories. Other than Trump, there’s only one other living Republican ex-president: George W. Bush. He’s one of only four Republican presidents in history to win two presidential elections and serve eight years in office. Will there even be a reference to Ronald Reagan, the president to whom Republicans tied themselves for decades after he left office? It’s hardly a guarantee, which once would have been sacrilegious at a GOP event but today is practically par for the course (although if one wants to see the new Reagan biopic starring Dennis Quaid, it’s showing every day in Milwaukee).

If Donald Trump was willing to have his ear nicked by a speeding bullet to sell the fake assassination, and some prearranged spectators thought being killed would add authenticity, my opinion of the rightwing masterminds would actually skyrocket. 

Their choice of assassin, though, is vexing. Illegal immigrant would have been pure gold, but even an hispanic surname would have done the trick. Registered Republican and gun fetishist was a bit of a buzzkill but obviously folks can work around it.

I mean, I've read that theory on HuskerBoard. Are we "top Democratic strategists," too?   :rolleyes:

You have to admit, it's completely on brand for a Republican gun nut to shoot at a Republican moronic candidate with a gun Republicans wear as a lapel pin that Democrats try to ban citizens from using is pretty funny.

The entire Republican Party is a constant SNL skit. The grifting and stupidity is out in the open. They have no fear of losing support because their voters are to far gone to even notice.

I'm curious, does it make you feel better to mock faith? God's hand shielded our soon to be next president. Why another life was taken isn't an answer anyone has but what we Christians believe is that only God the Father knows and that we are told to pray for the victim and the victim's family. We are also to support the shooter's family & even the shooter with prayer. That is our faith and in that (our faith), also our joy.
