I think we need a lil beef up front. Control the LOS, first and foremost. Shouldnt be too hard to do, their OL isn’t that great.
CU OL is so bad that any mixes, twists, and stunts will cause them problems. Then we need a rover/jack to just fly to Sanders every 3-4 plays and make him uneasy.
Our D front will best their OL front. We just need to mix pressure and make him back up and scramble another 6-7 yrs backwards. He has shown the last season or so he doesn’t mind doing that at all. He runs backwards a lot and flings the ball downfield, sometimes to great success.
Now, he has the arm strength and play making ability to fling it and make something happen. Can he do that 5-6 times a game for huge yds/td’s? I bet not, if we are swarming him and keeping him off balance.
Long/short….they won’t be able to run the ball. Send decent pressure w 4. Every few snaps don’t have a spy, but send someone up the middle or off the edge in a dead sprint to him. He will scramble around too much and we will get sacks and force him to make bad throws. He will get some YOLO and big plays, no doubt. But by the 4th qtr he’ll be rattled and scrambling for so long the mistakes will be made.
